Story
Hi my name is Flower - I'm a very sweet and adorable puppy! I'm estimated at 10 weeks old as of the end of December and weighing in at a little over 8 lbs. I landed at the county shelter with my mama Lady and my littermates as a very young puppy. It was a very scary time as we all caught an upper respiratory infection and needed to get to the ER fast for medical attention. Thankfully Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue answered the urgent plea to help my little family and rushed me, my mama and my remaining 2 littermates Ophelia and Shadow to the ER to save our lives! We are all healthy and happy and ready for our forever homes now! My breed is a bit of a mystery - mama looks like a mini shepherd and/or Carolina dog at 30 lbs and we don't know who our daddy is. My rescue sees dutch shepherd and Min pin as possibilities in my mix. Whatever my mix is, it's a good one! My $450 adoption fee includes all of the care I needed to get healthy, vet exam, up to date vaccines, spay, deworming and microchip. If you are interested in adopting me, please complete a free, non-binding application at www.gofar.dog under Adopt. If you have questions, email my rescue at adoptions@gofar.dog. Story
I was lucky enough to adopt Penny from a friend. Long story short, him and his wife were starting a family, and thus were not going to have the time to give Penny proper attention. They owned multiple older dogs and with a baby on the way, it would have been to much for them to keep her. So owned her for the last seven months. Penny is a young dog, almost 2 years old, full of energy and extremely smart. Because of her breed, she does better when she is able to channel all that energy through mental or physical stimulation. With me she's been able to be properly leash trained, socialized around adults and other dogs, and also kept up her obedience training. Recently she even started e-collar training, and she's picked it up very well. She shows big potential for even off leash walking. She can sleep on either the bed or her crate, and has good manners around the house. She will always greet you at the door, and be so happy you are home shell grab a toy and run around in joy!!!
