Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Olivia!Olivia came to PRBJ from an overcrowded out of state rescue.  She was brought in by the Pilots for Paws which bring dogs from rural places to larger cities to help them find a home.  Unfortunately, Olivia had been waiting at this rescue since 2024 when she came in with her litter of pups.  He pups were adopted, while Olivia sat and waited.  She loves people and we are working with her on reactivity to other dogs.  It seems when she is out and about that she does well, but when in the kennels, she is not fond of any dog. At this time we are requesting a home with no other dogs.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 11, 2026, 1:06 pm

Story
This is sunny! He is a Dutch shepherd I adopted from the shelter a few years ago, I adopted him with the intent that if he wasn’t the right fit for my home I would find a better home. He did not do well in the shelter and would pace in circles! He does well with some dogs but doesn’t get along with any intact males! Which is one of the reasons I’m rehoming him and he also needs to be with someone was has the time as he is a lot of dog! I have three working dogs and he is the most high strung and stubborn one. He still runs circle I don’t think that will ever change. He was definitely a dog that shouldn’t been in the shelter. He should not be in a home with kids or cats. Older kids or kids who know dogs boundaries would be okay! He doesn’t do well with cats but with someone who has experience with these type of dogs would also be fine! I have cats myself he has chased them and barks at them in his crate. He is also crate trained and he does have some allergies!

Story
Sarge is an incredibly sweet dog found on the streets near Orlando, FL. He is food motivated and high energy, but also loves a good nap and cuddles. He is house trained, crate trained, and accustomed to a leash/harness. Sarge will walk on a leash but is prone to pulling, especially when there are other people or dogs near by. He was kept with other dogs at the shelter with no issue, but we have found that he plays a bit rough with younger dogs. Sarge is a sweet dog who needs a big home with a yard and lots of enrichment from his owners. His biggest fault is being too sweet and excited to meet new people. He knows a few tricks and commands that he will listen to, especially if food is involved.

He was being bullied by the other dogs in the home, so no other male dogs for him! He was very good with the kids 8+ in the home, he lived with a cat and was playful. Also said to be friendly with strangers. He is a very large and strong, no seniors. He loves the water especially the hose and really enjoys a game of fetch!

Story
Wilson is a wonderful, sweet boy but he requires a lot of attention and mental stimulation. He would be great with someone who is able to spend a lot of time with him or works from home. Wilson loves the beach and tennis balls, carrots and needs plenty of exercise.
