Story
Raven is my name and kind of like a raven, I am a 'loner'... except for the puppies i had when I arrived at the rescue... I was saved by a trapper on the streets, they weren't even there to save ME that day, but they did!!! I am obviously a beautiful girl, big and solid as well as black and brindly. I am a loving girl, in my own way... i lived on the streets for who knows how long and I honestly am not a cuddly girl or even a sit by your feet dog, YET... I have all kinds of love to give, you can see in my eyes that I have always dreamed of someone with the patience to love me for who I am and who I can be!! I am great on a leash and do love walking around and exploring. I am good with other dogs and likely would do best with another dog who is calm and confident with his/her family. I am so so ready for you, I have the shepherd double coat so I will shed in your house, must have a great vacuum cleaner and tolerance of hair :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Pablo is a retired trailing dog (scent training) that is looking for a home to live out his retirement. He is about 8 years old. He still has a lot of energy, enjoys going for walks, and playing ball in the yard. Pablo comes full trained (potty, house, and obedience) and would be great for someone that works long hours but still likes to be active. He would prefer a home with no kids, but would be fine with teenagers. If you'd like to meet Pablo, email us at bombshellbullies@hotmail.com!

Avery, 2 years old, 32 lbs. She has not been with us very long. We do know she potties outside, is a good listener, and does have separation anxiety. She can be choosy with dog friends, which is why a meet and greet is so important! Do you work from home? Do you have time and patience? This fun pup would love to meet you!

Story
Age/Birthdate: Estimated to be around 1.5-2 years old • Weight: 60lbs • Breed Guess: Shepherd Mix • Fully Vetted: Yes • Adoption fee: $350 Any Medical or Special Needs: None Temperament with: Dogs: Amazing! Cats: Unknown Children list specific ages: He LOVES kids but he does jump so maybe kiddos that can hold their own! Strangers: Loves everyone! Training Needs: Crate Trained: Is crate trained! Potty Trained: Is potty trained! Roo is a 1.5-year-old bundle of fluff, fun, who gives off “frat boy energy” with a heart of absolute gold! This happy, friendly boy truly lives life to the fullest and is guaranteed to keep his forever family smiling and laughing every single day! It’s hard to believe Roo spent most of his life in the shelter, because in just two short weeks in his foster home, he has made INCREDIBLE progress! With consistent, gentle leadership, Roo has shown he’s not just a big goof—he’s a smart, eager-to-learn pup who is ready to keep growing into his best self. He would thrive with continued training and enrichment to keep his sharp mind engaged! Roo has never met a stranger and absolutely LOVES everyone—people and dogs alike! He’s a true social butterfly and would be a fantastic fit for a dog-friendly neighborhood, doggie daycare, or a family that enjoys including their pup in social outings and activities. He plays wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and has a very submissive, easygoing nature! At around 55 pounds, Roo is a big, lovable guy who sometimes forgets his size, especially when he’s excited. Because of this, he would do best with older kids who can handle his enthusiastic greetings. He’s still working on keeping all four paws on the ground, but he’s eager to please and improving every day! Roo is potty trained, crate trained, and rides great in the car. He’s also wonderful for baths, brushing, and nail trims—an all-around easy companion when it comes to handling and care! He’s currently learning leash manners and would benefit from continued guidance, but he’s already showing great progress! At home, Roo is not an escape artist and does well within boundaries. Give him a fenced yard to zoom around in and a soft spot to crash afterward, and he’s one happy camper! He may give a little “announcement” when he spots the mail or delivery drivers, but it’s all part of his charming, watchful personality! Roo has a wonderful temperament and has not shown any food, toy, or water aggression toward people or other dogs, making him a safe and loving companion! With his goofy personality, affectionate nature, and incredible progress, Roo is truly a diamond in the rough who is ready to shine in a forever home. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, social, and loyal companion who will bring endless joy to your life, Roo is your guy! If you're interested in meeting fluffy Roo, please fill out the application below! https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/33545/generic Please only apply if you are ready to meet and welcome a new companion into your home within five days of approval. This dog is currently located in Chicago's southwest suburbs and can be seen by appointment once an adoption application is completed and approved by the rescue. Please note that we cannot hold dogs for any reason. Breed and Age Information: Unless the puppy was born in our care, we cannot guarantee the breed or age. Breed and age estimates are based on veterinary advice, shelter records, physical appearance, and information provided by previous owners. The adoption fee includes: Spay/neuter (performed at one of our partner veterinarians as scheduled by the rescue) Microchip Rabies vaccine DHPP vaccine Bordetella vaccine 4DX test (Heartworm, Anaplasmosis, Ehrlichia, Lyme Disease) General wellness care, including deworming, heartworm prevention, and flea/tick prevention Your adoption fee also helps support medical care for other rescue animals, including heartworm treatments, surgeries, and emergency care.

Story
Age/Birthdate: 02/05/2022 • Current Weight: 76 lbs • Breed Guess: German Shepherd • Fully Vetted: Yes • Adoption fee: $0 fee has been sponsored by a generous donor! Any Medical or Special Needs: None Temperament with: •Dogs: Yes, he LOVES other dogs •Cats: Yes, he LOVES cats •Children: No •Strangers: Good but will need slow introductions. Reactive towards men. Training Needs: Crate Trained: Yes Potty Trained: Yes Reese is a HANDSOME Shepherd mix weighing in at a solid 76 pounds at just under 4 years old! Sadly, the first two years of Reese’s life were filled with abuse and disappointment. As a result, he was profoundly affected — constantly being in harm’s way was all he knew during his puppy years. Despite his rough start, Reese has shown incredible resilience and heart. He’s ready to leave his past behind and continue learning that not all people mean harm. Reese will need a patient and understanding family that will allow him the time he needs to decompress and warm up. His ideal home would be with a single woman or with a small family — Shepherd experience would help tremendously, as an adopter will have to be willing to play the long game to earn his trust as he has had aggression issues towards people in the past Because of his past, Reese can be fearful and defensive toward unfamiliar people, especially during first introductions. This is not him being “mean” — it’s simply the only way he learned to protect himself. With proper management, slow introductions, and structure, he does well, and he has been thriving in his foster home. His foster mom has built a wonderful bond with him, showing that once Reese feels safe, he is loyal, loving, and deeply connected! Reese has come leaps and bounds from where he started, but he’ll need continued support during his transition to ensure he builds equally strong relationships with his new family. While he’s made amazing progress, Reese still needs a family who understands his past trauma and is dedicated to helping him continue to heal. In typical Shepherd fashion, earning his trust can take time — but once you have it, he’ll trust you with his life 1000%. Once you get past Reese’s tough-guy armor, you’ll discover what a true softie he is! Reese is the perfect mix of energy and couch potato. He LOVES playing with his fur friends in the backyard but also enjoys long snooze sessions on the couch. When relaxing, he’s happy to chew on a bone and watch TV — especially Hallmark movies! (He’ll even tolerate a football game or two for the guys, if he must!) While Reese’s trust issues stem from humans, no animals have ever done this boy wrong — he absolutely LOVES other animals! Whether it’s puppies, adult dogs, cats, or kittens, Reese has never met an animal he doesn’t adore! He’s been a foster brother to animals of all shapes, sizes, ages, temperaments, and energy levels, and has always been the gentle, dependable “big brother” they can look up to! True to his Shepherd nature, Reese is a caregiver — he can often be seen lovingly grooming his elderly foster sibling or keeping a watchful eye on his rambunctious foster kittens! If you already have other furbabies, Reese would be a wonderful addition! He has no food, toy, or water aggression and would integrates easily into a multi-pet home! Reese is also potty and crate trained! He knows the words “crate” and “place” as cues to go to his crate! Since he’s naturally curious, his foster mom crates him when she’s away — which he doesn’t mind at all, as he’ll happily nap until you return! If you’d rather take him along, that’s no problem either — Reese loves car rides and will gladly hop in the vehicle himself! He’s also great about keeping all four paws on the ground (which is great given his size)! Speaking of paws, he’s not the biggest fan of having his toes touched (but who is?), and he’s currently working on perfecting “heel” while walking! Reese is looking for a patient, German Shepherd–savvy adopter who will see past his initial walls and give him the time, structure, and love he needs to fully open up! With understanding and commitment, his future family will be rewarded with one of the most loyal, loving, and devoted companions imaginable! If you're interested in meeting handsome Reese, please fill out the application below! https://www.rubywhiskers.org/adopt Please only apply if you are ready to meet and welcome a new companion into your home within five days of approval.
