Story
Dutch Shepherd, neutered, 65 lbs DOB: May 2021 Breeder: Saint Working Dogs, Texas All vaccinations current: 3 yr Rabies due Aug 2026, 1 yr heart worm due Aug 2024. He’s super sweet and heavy handed in his affections. Good OB since and manners in the house. No need to crate him when I leave the house. Would do well with a sibling and an experienced handler for him is what I'm looking for. On walks he's neutral to the wildlife and doesn't really pay birds or squirrels any mind. Good off leash, but he finds comfort on the lead, so he’ll let you know to put him back on the leash. Low prey drive and not suited for protection sports but would do well in agility. I'm giving him up because I can no longer give him that structure he needs due to on-going health issues and lifestyle changes I’ve had to make as a result.

Story
Maya a 4 year old Dutch Shepherd. She is spayed and up to date on all vaccines. This stunning girl is now in need of a home! She's great with dogs kids goats chickens etc you name it. This girl is well trained and socialized. Can literally take her anywhere. She knows lots of commands. Maya is sweet and playful and an all around great dog. Recently she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, she did have to have her rear leg removed. But now she is all clear and healthy. Maya may have only three legs but this girl will surprise you at how fast she is! She would be fantastic on a farm she is very loyal and will stay with you by your side! Ideally I think the perfect home for Maya would be someone who has a bit of land, or a farm. She loves to work! DISCLOSURE: The adoptable pets in our program are still in the care and custody of owners who wish to re-home their pet. Owners have enlisted Rescue Well to provide marketing and screening of applicants as a service, free of charge. All fees and adoption conditions are determined by the owner. We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting.  ***** Gorgeous, loving, and playful Luna is 1yr/5mos old, weighs 50lbs, is up to date on her vaccinations, is microchipped, but is not spayed.  "Luna is the type of dog I would want everyone to have.  She's loyal to the utmost and has so much love to give.  Luna loves to play whether it's with people or other dogs and has the type of energy that doesn't seem to falter.  She's trained to the best of what my abilities would allow as well as being very sociable.  She is content with everything, whether that be playing, going outside, or taking a lazy day and not doing anything.  As long as she was around me she was content to just 'be'.  Bottom line, Luna is an amazing dog."  She knows the commands 'sit', 'stay', 'come', 'down'; she is also versed in her release command specifically for food, which is 'go' and does very well during car rides. Luna's guardian explains why he has made the difficult decision to rehome her:  "My wife was found to be very allegic to dogs so having one isn't a viable option anymore.  I'm about to end my active duty military service and I'm afraid I won't be able to give Luna the proper care I know she deserves." Luna's guardian states the following regarding children:  Although Luna hasn't lived with children, her guardian recommends her living with children, stating "Luna is very active and very playful.  It plays a lot into her curiosity and how active she is." Luna's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Although Luna hasn't lived with dogs, her guardian recommends her living with dogs, stating "Luna is very good around other dogs.  She is very playful and loves to be around dogs that are the same way." Luna's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Although Luna hasn't lived with or otherwise been around cats, her guardian recommends her living with cats, stating "Luna hasn't specifically been around cats outside the home, but due to her nature with other animals, I believe she would be fine around cats." Luna's guardian describes her as: Very active Quiet Playful Friendly Likes to be touched Affectionate Crate-Trained Likes men Likes women Luna's guardian describes her ideal future home:  "Luna would thrive in a home that has a fenced-in yard or back yard due to how active she is.  A family who can keep up with how much energy she gives out."
