Story
😍Adorable Ridgely! 😍 Ridgely is in need of new foster placement or a foster to adopt family! His current foster family loves him, but they are gone too long each day at work, and Ridgley seems to be struggling with some separation anxiety. He would do best with a foster or potential adopter who is home more of the day to give him to love and attention his little heart deserves. His foster family writes: He was estimated at the shelter to be about 3 years old and a Dutch Shepherd Mix, based on his beautiful brindle coloring, but his foster family thinks he’s a Plott Hound mix and possibly a bit younger. He still needs to be neutered and will be covered by the rescue! ⭐ Facts about handsome ridgely: ⭐ -Is a Velcro dog and wants to follow you around the house and stay close. -Is sweet and affectionate and loves to be snuggled and allows you to touch him anywhere. - loves children -Is active and needs regular walks and playtime outside. -Loves to ride in the car and will go to the car door when you announce it’s time. -Knows sit, stay, wait (instead of heal), and has just learned to shake. His is eager to learn and to please. -Is housebroken and accident free. -Does not guard his food at all. -Is friendly with other dogs and does not bark at them, even when provoked. But he does go toward them out of curiousity and wants to play. -Has a strong prey drive. He wants to chase birds, rabbits, squirrels, you name it, so he would probably do best with no small pets. -Walks well on a leash. Pulls in new places, but he’s getting better all the time. Ridgely is going to make someone an awesome pet and best friend. We are sad it can’t be us but you will love this sweetheart as much as we do! ❤️ www.happygoluckymastiffrescue.com

Story
Meet Sara — Your New Best Friend in a Perfectly Trained, 45-Pound Package of Love At just 20 months old, Miss Sara is already proving to be the kind of once-in-a-lifetime dog everyone hopes for—smart, affectionate, eager to please, and now… beautifully trained. Originally adopted as a puppy, Sara was very loved—but when her owner sadly fell ill and could no longer care for her, everything changed. She returned to us with a heart full of love, but without the manners every young pup needs. We knew this girl had potential, so off she went to a professional 3-week training program… and wow, is she showing off. &#226&#156&#133 Training? She’s nailing it. &#226&#156&#133 People? She adores them. &#226&#156&#133 Dogs? Instant besties. &#226&#156&#133 Kids? She belly-crawls just to be close to them—it’s beyond precious. We believe she’s a Dutch Shepherd mix, weighing in at about 45 pounds, with a gorgeous, sleek coat and a heart that beats for human connection. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines—and yes, ready to go! Now, she’s just looking for a home that can match her devotion with love and guidance. Toys are her jam, and she’ll happily entertain herself or join you for a game of fetch. No kitties for this girl, please! Chasing them is just too much fun, and she needs a cat-free home to thrive. Sara is the kind of dog who makes you feel like the most important person in the world. Her loyalty is unmatched, her spirit is bright, and her readiness for her forever home couldn’t be clearer. Interested in giving this beautiful girl her happily-ever-after? Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com today. Let Sara show you what love, intelligence, and a second chance can really look like. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.June 11, 2025, 9:36 pm

Story
Raven is my name and kind of like a raven, I am a 'loner'... except for the puppies i had when I arrived at the rescue... I was saved by a trapper on the streets, they weren't even there to save ME that day, but they did!!! I am obviously a beautiful girl, big and solid as well as black and brindly. I am a loving girl, in my own way... i lived on the streets for who knows how long and I honestly am not a cuddly girl or even a sit by your feet dog, YET... I have all kinds of love to give, you can see in my eyes that I have always dreamed of someone with the patience to love me for who I am and who I can be!! I am great on a leash and do love walking around and exploring. I am good with other dogs and likely would do best with another dog who is calm and confident with his/her family. I am so so ready for you, I have the shepherd double coat so I will shed in your house, must have a great vacuum cleaner and tolerance of hair :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Annie is a gorgeous 3-year-old female Dutch Shepherd mix. She is a very happy, sensitive, smart, and energetic dog. Annie is house trained. She knows the commands sir, lay down and stay. She walks fairly well on leash, she may pull a bit if there is a squirrel to investigate. She usually enjoys a good run at the dog park then she sleeps for the rest of the day. She is dog-selective but can be great with other dogs who are more submissive. Annie does have a high prey drive, so she shouldn't be with cars or small dogs. Annie is a very sweet dog who loves to cuddle and loves belly rubs. She does not bark unless she hears something suspicious outside. Annie does need a good fenced in yard or she will try to get out and find neighborhood buddies to play with. Annie would make a really wonderful companion and hiking dog. She weighs 75 pounds and is full grown. She is microchipped. Meet and greets are by appointment only with approved applicants. Adoption fee is waved but the application process is not. We believe you can always teach an ‘old’ dog new tricks so we highly recommend continued obedience training for this smart pup; it stimulates the dog's mind and establishes a good dog/adopter relationship. This pup, like all pups should be on heartworm preventative, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!
