Story
Trevor is a 10 month old male Dutch Shepherd. Engaging and sweet are the first words that come to mind when people think of Trevor. He is learning to meet knew people and to be less apprehensive in new situations. He would do best in a home with recent Shepherd experience that can commit to training and socializing him. Trevor can be vocal and may not be suitable for apartment, townhome, or condos.  He came in as a stray and will need a slow and controlled introduction to any resident pets you may already have. Story
Meet Eddie, affectionately known as King, a dynamic and charismatic canine with an incredible journey. This charming dog's life began as a stray, but fate led him back to his original owners, who, regrettably, had to surrender him once more. King Eddie is a one-of-a-kind companion who thrives on adventure and connection. His heart belongs to long sniff walks through the great outdoors, where he revels in the sensory symphony of the world. Training games are his jam, and he's always up for a playful challenge. Toys bring out his inner puppy, and he's a squeak toy aficionado. But it's not all about the active pursuits; King Eddie has a soft side, cherishing snuggles and bath time as much as he enjoys a game of fetch. He's a versatile talent and a teddy bear at heart. In addition to his love for all things fun, King Eddie excels in agility training, showcasing his determination and intelligence. His food motivation makes him an eager and trainable companion, always ready to learn and engage. King has a positive history of living with both small and large dogs, but due to his size and energy, introductions to other dogs are best done gradually. He's social with fellow canines, but leash frustration can be a challenge, so it's advisable to avoid people crowds and high-traffic dog areas. King Eddie's exuberance and energy are infectious, but because of his high energy level and occasional reactivity, he's better suited to a home without children to ensure a harmonious environment.

DISCLOSURE: The adoptable pets in our program are still in the care and custody of owners who wish to re-home their pet. Owners have enlisted Rescue Well to provide marketing and screening of applicants as a service, free of charge. All fees and adoption conditions are determined by the owner. We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting.  ***** Gorgeous, loving, and playful Luna is 1yr/5mos old, weighs 50lbs, is up to date on her vaccinations, is microchipped, but is not spayed.  "Luna is the type of dog I would want everyone to have.  She's loyal to the utmost and has so much love to give.  Luna loves to play whether it's with people or other dogs and has the type of energy that doesn't seem to falter.  She's trained to the best of what my abilities would allow as well as being very sociable.  She is content with everything, whether that be playing, going outside, or taking a lazy day and not doing anything.  As long as she was around me she was content to just 'be'.  Bottom line, Luna is an amazing dog."  She knows the commands 'sit', 'stay', 'come', 'down'; she is also versed in her release command specifically for food, which is 'go' and does very well during car rides. Luna's guardian explains why he has made the difficult decision to rehome her:  "My wife was found to be very allegic to dogs so having one isn't a viable option anymore.  I'm about to end my active duty military service and I'm afraid I won't be able to give Luna the proper care I know she deserves." Luna's guardian states the following regarding children:  Although Luna hasn't lived with children, her guardian recommends her living with children, stating "Luna is very active and very playful.  It plays a lot into her curiosity and how active she is." Luna's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Although Luna hasn't lived with dogs, her guardian recommends her living with dogs, stating "Luna is very good around other dogs.  She is very playful and loves to be around dogs that are the same way." Luna's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Although Luna hasn't lived with or otherwise been around cats, her guardian recommends her living with cats, stating "Luna hasn't specifically been around cats outside the home, but due to her nature with other animals, I believe she would be fine around cats." Luna's guardian describes her as: Very active Quiet Playful Friendly Likes to be touched Affectionate Crate-Trained Likes men Likes women Luna's guardian describes her ideal future home:  "Luna would thrive in a home that has a fenced-in yard or back yard due to how active she is.  A family who can keep up with how much energy she gives out." He is very verbal like all shepherds, talking his own language! He is also very active and loves to play with any size dog. Theo is a smart boy too, which should help with training. He is learning to walk on a leash, and he knows the sit command. Theo is not only dog friendly, he also gets along well with cats and kids. So what’s not to love? Give this handsome fellow a chance and he’ll show you what a loyal, loving companion he can be!Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.       Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.NOTE- MARS IS LISTED AS A COURTESY FOR HIS CARETKAERS WHO ARE REQUESTING TO REHOME HIM.  A note from his caretaker:  Mars is a handsome pup who needs a strong personality and someone who can give him the time he needs.  We do not know if he is cat friendly,  but he does chase small animals and barks at the cats in the window across the street.  So we would suggest a home with no cats or small critters.  Mars is good with dogs he knows. Lives with a female dog and has no issues if she corrects him. Visits beagles and gets along fine. Is undersocialized and would need slow, proper introduction to new dogs but has demonstrated he would like other dogs.   Mars is kid friendly and plays with visiting kids ages 5 and up and lets them run all over him (although that is not advisable) . Retreats to another room when he needs a break.  Never shown any aggression or bite history. He has no aggressive or bite history.  If you are interested in adopting Mars, please fill out an adoption application at:WWW.REACHOUTRESCUE.ORGVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 29, 2023, 11:12 pm
