Raven is my name and kind of like a raven, I am a 'loner'... except for the puppies i had when I arrived at the rescue... I was saved by a trapper on the streets, they weren't even there to save ME that day, but they did!!! I am obviously a beautiful girl, big and solid as well as black and brindly. I am a loving girl, in my own way... i lived on the streets for who knows how long and I honestly am not a cuddly girl or even a sit by your feet dog, YET... I have all kinds of love to give, you can see in my eyes that I have always dreamed of someone with the patience to love me for who I am and who I can be!! I am great on a leash and do love walking around and exploring. I am good with other dogs and likely would do best with another dog who is calm and confident with his/her family. I am so so ready for you, I have the shepherd double coat so I will shed in your house, must have a great vacuum cleaner and tolerance of hair :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Knox is a 2-year-old (as of March 28th) Dutch Shepherd mix with the sweetest heart and the biggest love for his people. He truly lives up to the phrase gentle giant. If you are looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who wants to be by your side, Knox is your guy. Knox absolutely loves sleep, playing with his toys, and eating (especially treats!). His favorite thing in the world, though, is physical affection. He constantly wants to be rubbed, touched, or close to someone. His personal favorite is having his paw held while he relaxes next to you. He thrives on connection and will happily cuddle for hours. He is housebroken but, like many young dogs, he can have occasional accidents when he gets very excited. Knox is not yet neutered, which may contribute to this, but overall he does very well with routine and consistency. Knox is great with children and small dogs and has shown a gentle and patient personality. He has been indifferent toward large dogs.

He weighs 45#. He is a good dog... no aggression but also no training. He has been getting some leash training of which he's doing very well. This guy needs to have a companion to take him everywhere, go on hikes, and maybe even swimming. He loves people and is great with other dogs. He does need daily exercise but I’m sure he will calm down after he knows he’s in a forever home and gets his love and exercise every day. You won't find a more handsome, intelligent or silly boy than Sidney. He is about 3.5 years old and weighs 84 lbs. Sidney is a very intelligent fellow, he learns quicky and is anxious to please. He will do well with a job and/or a lot of stimulation, long walks and hikes. He will do well with an experienced dog person. Sidney loves meeting new people. He has done well with large dogs he has met, however he is would not be good with small dogs or cats. Sidney does show some barrier reactivity, however, when the barrier is removed (whether it is a crate, fence or car window) he shows absolutely no issues. Because Sidney likes a lot of activity, he will need a securely fenced yard (must be a physical fence, not an electric or invisible system) He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and on monthly treatment for flea/ticks and heartworm prevention Sidney is currently located in the Middle TN area but transport is included in the adoption fee for approved adopter If you are interested in Sidney, email rookiesrescue@yahoo.com for an application

Meet Tye 🐾 Tye is a very special dog with a sweet and joyful heart. He always seems to have a smile on his face. Even at nine years old, he still has a lot of energy and often acts like a big puppy. Tye is incredibly intelligent, strong, and very loving. He is naturally protective and great with kids. Tye doesn’t need much just love, attention, and space to enjoy life. He especially loves the cold and water and is a great swimmer and runner. Tye has been living with his companion dog Quinn, and our hope is to find a loving home that would consider adopting them together, as they are very comfortable with each other. This has been a very difficult decision for our family, especially for our children, and we would feel much more peace knowing they could stay together. They are such a special pair. Both just incredible dogs. If it wasn't for our situation we would keep them forever.
