Story
Raven is my name and kind of like a raven, I am a 'loner'... except for the puppies i had when I arrived at the rescue... I was saved by a trapper on the streets, they weren't even there to save ME that day, but they did!!! I am obviously a beautiful girl, big and solid as well as black and brindly. I am a loving girl, in my own way... i lived on the streets for who knows how long and I honestly am not a cuddly girl or even a sit by your feet dog, YET... I have all kinds of love to give, you can see in my eyes that I have always dreamed of someone with the patience to love me for who I am and who I can be!! I am great on a leash and do love walking around and exploring. I am good with other dogs and likely would do best with another dog who is calm and confident with his/her family. I am so so ready for you, I have the shepherd double coat so I will shed in your house, must have a great vacuum cleaner and tolerance of hair :) Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Leggs is a resilient 32 pound, 1 year old pup working hard to become part of the world around him. While he’s naturally timid because he was feral the first three months of his life, he’s been bravely approaching new challenges and turned into the most amazing dog at home. Leggs is very intelligent and sensitive. He’s a bit cuddler and loves wrapping himself up in a blanket and hunkering down with his soft toys. He’s fantastic on a leash and incredibly gentle with myself, my children, and other dogs (including my super senior). He is crate trained, goes to the door when he needs to go potty, leash trained, and doing well on basic obedience and threshold training. He’s done well on trips to the park, long-leash walking on nature trails, and trips to pet-friendly stores such as Petco. His perfect home would be one that understands his initial need to decompress. After that, you can expect the most loyal and intuitive companion. He is not a fan of cats so no kitties please. Leggs is being fostered in Texas but can be transported out of state. Story
Zola: protector & sensitive soul Rarely does a gorgeous mix of a dog with such a tender heart survive a history of neglect and abuse, yet emerge so loving, affectionate and dedicated to guarding her household. Zola is one such tale. She was found under a daycare, having given birth to a litter of puppies. Always stunning in looks as a black mouth cut/Dutch shepherd mix (our best guess), she was shut down, shy, wary of raised voices & reaching hands, but never, ever mean. In her foster mom’s home, she has gradually come out of her shell. She now loves being hugged on, petted, brushed. She oh, so gently takes treats. She is great with other dogs, but her favorites to cuddle with are similar to her in size. She is very gentle with children, and extremely emotionally intuitive. She takes “night patrol” duties seriously, having assigned herself the task of ensuring property safety before she settles indoors to sleep. Zola is ready & so deserves a loving furever home of her own. She will make an excellent addition to a family or as a solo dog. Attributes Wonderful with children Very emotionally intuitive Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Meet Chestnut! 🐾 Chestnut is a handsome 3-year-old Basset Hound/Dutch Shepherd mix weighing about 40 pounds, and this sweet boy is ready to find a family of his very own! Chestnut was rescued from the euthanasia list at the Hesperia Animal Shelter in California, giving him the second chance he so deserved. Now he’s ready to leave his past behind and start his next chapter in a loving home. Chestnut is incredibly sweet with everyone he meets. He can be a little shy when first getting to know someone, but give him some patience and time to feel comfortable and you’ll quickly see his gentle, affectionate personality come through. Once he knows you’re a friend, he’s an absolute sweetheart. He’s friendly with other dogs when given proper introductions and would likely enjoy having a canine companion who respects his pace while everyone gets acquainted. Chestnut hasn’t been introduced to cats yet, but if his future household includes feline siblings, we can introduce him to cats to help determine whether they may be a good match. Chestnut would benefit from continued leash training, so his future family should be prepared to spend some time helping him build those skills. With patience, consistency, positive reinforcement, and plenty of encouragement, we think this smart boy will continue to gain confidence and learn what’s expected of him. Because Chestnut can initially be shy, we recommend a home with kids ages 8 and older who can be patient with him and give him the space and time he needs to settle in. Chestnut’s adoption fee is $295 and includes his neuter, vaccinations, and microchip. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle companion and are willing to give him a little patience while he learns that he’s finally home, Chestnut may be your guy. ❤️ Apply to meet him today!
