Leggs is a resilient 32 pound, 8 month old pup working hard to become part of the world around him. While he’s naturally timid because he was feral the first three months of his life, he’s been bravely approaching new challenges and turned into the most amazing dog at home. Leggs is very intelligent and sensitive. He’s a bit cuddler and loves wrapping himself up in a blanket and hunkering down with his soft toys. He’s fantastic on a leash and incredibly gentle with myself, my children, and other dogs (including my super senior). He tries to play with cats, but also respects their space. He is crate trained, goes to the door when he needs to go potty, leash trained, and doing well on basic obedience and threshold training. He’s done well on trips to the park, long-leash walking on nature trails, and trips to pet-friendly stores such as Petco. His perfect home would be one that understands his initial need to decompress. After that, you can expect the most loyal and intuitive companion. Leggs is being fostered in Texas but can be transported out of state. Her birthday is October 28th, which would make her almost 6 months!!, with my working schedule I am no longer able to take care of her the way that she needs to be, so I am looking for someone that has patience, whom is caring and loving to my missygirl. she is very friendly and playful she is very clingy and loves being around everyone and is good with kids and other dogs as well. Lady was bought from a litter off a private seller with purebred German Shepherd parents. She is an amazing girl who is very intelligent and just needs a family with more time than we have to offer her. She has always been very excited to say hello to people and meet them and it can take her a little bit to calm down. She does have a small prey drive so it is recommended that you not have her around any cats or small pets. She is very much a loving dog with a very playful and silly mentality. She does understand voice and hand commands and is a quick learner.
