Bio: Gemma Say hello to Gemma, the treat - loving, tail-wagging sweetheart who is ready to steal your heart! this intelligent girl is not only eager to please- but she's also downright brilliant! She knows cues like "sit", "kennel," and " come around", and she's even figured out where the treats are kept - she'll politely point them out and ask for one with those irresistible eyes! Gemma is gentle and affectionate with people. Always happy to soak up attention and give you full focus. Her absolute favorite thing? Pets, pets, and more pets! While she's a bit stand offish with other dogs and prefers to keep her distance, she more than makes up for it with her devotion to her humans.  She's not a picky eater, enjoys her chew toys, and stays content with just the right mix of light exercise and quality cuddle time. Whether you're up for a walk or just hanging out on the couch, Gemma is the kind of dog who will be right by your side, loving every moment.  If you're looking for a loyal, smart, and affectionate companion who knows how to ask for what she wants ( treats & belly rubs!), Gemma might be your perfect match!December 11, 2025, 3:10 pm

Story
Raven is my name and kind of like a raven, I am a 'loner'... except for the puppies i had when I arrived at the rescue... I was saved by a trapper on the streets, they weren't even there to save ME that day, but they did!!! I am obviously a beautiful girl, big and solid as well as black and brindly. I am a loving girl, in my own way... i lived on the streets for who knows how long and I honestly am not a cuddly girl or even a sit by your feet dog, YET... I have all kinds of love to give, you can see in my eyes that I have always dreamed of someone with the patience to love me for who I am and who I can be!! I am great on a leash and do love walking around and exploring. I am good with other dogs and likely would do best with another dog who is calm and confident with his/her family. I am so so ready for you, I have the shepherd double coat so I will shed in your house, must have a great vacuum cleaner and tolerance of hair :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Meet Katniss!Katniss is a resilient, loving puppy with a brave spirit and a heart full of hope. She’s still growing and will mature into a very large dog, but she’s already shown incredible strength for someone so young. This special girl came into rescue with a fracture that required surgery. While she’s healing beautifully, the nature of her injury means she’ll need an adopter committed to ongoing physical therapy and long-term monitoring of her right hind leg—potentially for life. With the right care, Katniss can continue to thrive and enjoy a happy, full future.Raised in a foster home, she’s learned what it means to be loved and supported. Katniss adores her people, enjoys learning, and is ready to grow into the amazing companion she’s destined to be.If you’re prepared to give a deserving puppy the extra care she needs, Katniss will repay you with endless love and loyalty.Stop by the shelter any day between 12- 6:30pm to adopt her!_______________The Pennsylvania SPCA350 E Erie Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19134Kennel #3079

Story
Piper turned two in Dec 23. We were told she’s a Dutch Shepherd, but she may be mixed. She’s incredibly sweet, affectionate, and full of energy. She’s fully potty trained. She’s okay with cats and currently lives with a smaller dog, but she’s food protective, so they eat in separate rooms. She may do well with a calm, larger dog after slow introductions and proper boundaries, but we believe she’d thrive most in a home where she’s the only pet. She’s amazing with adults and older kids, though not the best fit for homes with small children. She’d love a big yard where she can run and play—she has so much energy and joy to share! We love her deeply, but our lease only allows one dog. We originally took her in temporarily for a sick friend, but her owner never returned. We’ve cared for her since, hoping to find the right home. It’s been tough, but we’re doing all we can to avoid the shelter. She deserves a happy, active home full of love, patience, and play.
