Tails is a 3-year-old, 49-lb Dutch Shepherd mix who came to the shelter as a stray on 9/25. She arrived with an injured tail, which has since been repaired by our medical team, and she’s healed beautifully.Tails is a sweet, affectionate girl who is easy to handle and walks well on leash. She knows “sit” and takes treats gently. She is dog friendly and enjoys spending time with people.This sweet gal is ready for a new tale with a happy ending - a loving home where she can feel safe, cherished, and part of the family.As with any new pet, we recommend following the 3-3-3 guideline when helping Tails settle into her new home: 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn the routine, and 3 months to feel fully at home.

I`m a great snuggler so much so I have to be the only animal snuggling. I`m great with kids, love to take long walks and chew on my peanut butter bones. I need a forever home where I am the only one being spoiled. At the facility I enjoy my time in the yard and long walks.
