Story
Buddy was abandoned in my neighborhood when he was a young pup. I took him in and took care of him until he was about a year and a half old. Then I moved to Fort Worth with Buddy who had puppy brain and needed training. I took him to Alan Brown, a man that is now in jail for abusing animals in his care. Mr. Brown was supposed to work with him and bring him back in a week. I never heard from him or Buddy again. Four years later, just before Christmas I get a call that Buddy is in a kill shelter. I go get him and bring him home, but he is too much dog for me and I've gotten too old to care for him like he needs to be cared for. He fights with my other two dogs and tries to kill my cats. He's a good dog, a smart dog and a wonderful dog for somebody, he just doesn't fit into our little family. So I put Buddy up to rehome. Buddy goes to a home with a nice young man and they seem the perfect match. I'm happy for Buddy finding the right home for him. About 4 months later I get a ca

Story
Hello there, I`m Nova. My days are filled with wagging tails and playful barks, but what I really crave is a forever home again. I gave my last owner my love and devotion as long as I could, and I have so much more to give to a new family! I`m a friendly soul, always ready with a lick and a wag for anyone who stops by my kennel. Loyalty is my middle name, and once I`ve bonded with someone, I`ll stick to their side through thick and thin. My playful nature means I`ll always be up for a game! I`m healthy and happy and ready to continue my life in a healthy and happy home.Come by Grand Prairie Animal Services so we can start our journey together!

Story
Hi, I`m Meadow. I`m a bit shy but once I get to know you, I`m the friendliest dog you`ll ever meet. I love playing with large dogs, their size doesn`t intimidate me at all. I`ve got a lot of love to give and I`m just waiting for the right person to share it with. You see, I`m a bit like a flower, I might take a little while to open up, but once I do, I`ll bring so much joy and happiness into your life. I`m looking for someone who can give me the time and patience I need to blossom. The staff here at the shelter says I`m heartworm positive but, don`t worry. They say they will fix me right up and, it`s included in my adoption fee! Adopt me and let`s make beautiful memories together.

Story
Radar is a Dutch Shepherd mix, neutered male, shelter rescue, between 2 & 3 years old, 58 lbs, potty trained. 2022 Graduate of a 3-week Board & Train program; responds to these commands: Sit, Stay, Come, Off, No, Place, Crate, Heel, Free, Wait, Drop (drops ball while playing fetch). Radar is a healthy, intelligent, handsome, lovable, loyal, and playful dog. He loves his ball for playing fetch, loves to go for walks with his human, enjoys going to the dog park and also chewing on his peanut butter filled bone. He’s a blast to play with and a wonderful companion outside as well as inside the house. His comfy bedded crate is his safe space, and he’s perfectly content in his crate for a several hours a day or overnight. A fenced in yard would be perfect for him to run around and play with his human or another dog. Radar is current on all vaccines, vet visits, and preventive flea/heartworm treatments. Getting to know his goofy personality has made us laugh every day!

Story
Status: not yet available Monroe has been on our radar for over 18 months. Originally, she showed up with her two buddies, and one of our volunteers began feeding them and building trust. We found and rescued her puppies in January 2023, but Monroe remained elusive. She recently resurfaced, and we were able to catch her soon after her latest litter was born! She will be available for adoption soon. Questions about this sweetheart?
