Story
We adopted him from an animal shelter at 8 weeks, he is 1 year and 5 months old, great with other dogs and kids. He knows sit, is leash trained, does well with a harness, and is crate trained. He loves to cuddle and play, rain or snow, he will go outside. One of his favorite 'treats' is ice cubes, he will sit by the fridge when you get ice and wait patiently for a cube! He chases his own tail and will make himself dizzy doing so. He's super goofy

Story
Hi! I`m Ichabod Crane. My friends call me Iccy. My foster family says I am cute and loveable! I do great making friends with everyone! Kids and dogs of all sizes! Id prefer a home without cats as I can not understand why we need to adopt a house squirrel. I love cuddles and play time! Fetch is my favorite game and I am fantastic at it! My foster family has already started on my basic house manners. I`m crate trained, I go potty out side, and know sit! I have been homeless for far too long... as much as I love my foster family I would really enjoy a home of my own. Maybe its with you?

Story
Hello there, I`m Nova. My days are filled with wagging tails and playful barks, but what I really crave is a forever home again. I gave my last owner my love and devotion as long as I could, and I have so much more to give to a new family! I`m a friendly soul, always ready with a lick and a wag for anyone who stops by my kennel. Loyalty is my middle name, and once I`ve bonded with someone, I`ll stick to their side through thick and thin. My playful nature means I`ll always be up for a game! I`m healthy and happy and ready to continue my life in a healthy and happy home.Come by Grand Prairie Animal Services so we can start our journey together!

Story
Radar - Dutch Shepherd mix, neutered male, shelter rescue, between 2 & 3 years old, 58 lbs, potty trained. 2022 Graduate of a 3-week Board & Train program; responds to these commands: Sit, Stay, Come, Off, No, Place, Crate, Heel, Free, Wait, Drop (drops ball while playing fetch). Radar is a healthy, intelligent, handsome, lovable, loyal, and playful dog. He loves his ball for playing fetch, loves to go for walks with his human, enjoys going to the dog park and also chewing on his peanut butter filled bone. He’s a blast to play with and a wonderful companion outside as well as inside the house. His comfy bedded crate is his safe space, and he’s perfectly content in his crate for a several hours a day or overnight. A fenced in yard would be perfect for him to run around and play with his human (or another dog). Radar is current on all vaccines, vet visits, and preventive flea/heartworm treatments. Getting to know his goofy personality has made us laugh every day!

Some pets are in the Shelter and others in Foster homes. Please read the bio & email the address listed in the bio.   Additionally for CATS you  may email  JShelton@eulesstx.gov and for DOGS, email trinitygapclub@gmail.com       Meet Xena our newest princess.   She is definitely Miss Personality.  She loves attention and to be petted.  If you stop, she will take her paw and touch you to keep petting her.  She is definitely one lovable dog.   Xena appears to be a Dutch Shepherd/catahoula mix.   Xena is a very gentle dog and walks well on a leash.  We think she is potty trained  bc she goes potty as soon as she is taken on a walk.  She is a very smart dog who knows her basic commands.  Xena came in with her friend, Zelda, and no one claimed them.   This is so sad for her because she is such a good doggie and does not understand why she is locked up in a shelter.  If you would like to adopt or foster Xena, please email steffeniegaprescue@gmail.comMarch 26, 2024, 8:04 pm

Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Beautiful Belgian Malinois, Daisy, 2 yo, 56 lbs, needs a forever home. She was found by the highway with no microchip or other ID early Oct 2023. First trip to the vet for vaccinations, learned Daisy was pregnant. She had 7 puppies at Thanksgiving, just 7 weeks after taking her in. Through friends, neighbors & NextDoor, all puppies have round 1 & 2 vax, & are in good, furever homes at 14 weeks. Daisy is now spayed, microchipped & current on all vaccinations, monthly heart worm & flea/tick prevention meds. Daisy is extremely intelligent: housebroken, leash-trained, knows basic commands, & can learn much more with time & attention. She’s gone with me to Tractor Supply & a restaurant & did great! Indoors she is possessive of me growling at my 8 yo border collie, not allowing him near me. Outside, they run & play & get along great. REQUIRES daily exercise. If you travel or have a job that keeps you away from her during days, she would not be a fit. Needs a close human companion.

(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)

House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Jax is a ten-month old purebred GSD. He is kinda derpy in a way where he is a bit of a goofball. He loves to run rain or shine. He is very attentive. He wants to watch out the windows at home and patrol what is going on. He is crate trained and will go to the crate when you tell him to go or if he sees that you are getting ready to leave. Jax is very wary about strangers at first, but does warm up. Out on walks, he does not do well with people coming up behind him that he cannot see. He does well with kids, but older children are more ideal. He’s never interacted with cats, so it’s unknown how he would react.
