Story
Tycho is a sweet, smart, stubborn boy. Any puzzle toys we've found last him no longer than 5 minutes, and he loves snuggle time on the couch. He's a big homebody, though also territorial towards strangers. We need to rehome him because he simply needs to have more interaction and more training than we can provide anymore. He's developed some separation anxiety and some defensive behaviors because we just can't get enough energy out of him in a day. We're looking for a home that will be able to prioritize his activity levels and work on training with him since he really does want to be loved, he just doesn't trust easy. He is very particular about a lot of things, but also relatively well trained. We are more than willing to work with any interested parties to teach them all about him and his quirks, as well as help transition him and all his things to a new home.

Story
Hi, I’m GriffI’ve had a really rough start in life. I was found tied to a tree in terrible condition by one of the amazing volunteers, and that’s how I made my way to Apollo. I was scared, confused, and in need of medical care—but thanks to the rescue, I got the help I needed. I’m feeling so much better now, and the only thing left is a little bit of hair loss, which just makes me extra special.I was born in 201&, and I’ve already experienced abandonment and neglect. Because of that, the loud noises and busy environment at the rescue make me pretty anxious. But once you get to know me, you’ll see that I’m actually the cutest, quirkiest pup who loves to make people laugh and have fun.I’m looking for an active family who will love me, train me, and be patient while I continue to learn that the world can be a safe place. I’ll need understanding and kindness as I work through my past, but I promise I’m worth it.I’m neutered and up to date on all my shots. Right now, it’s hard to say if I’m dog reactive because the rescue environment is overwhelming for me. With time, a quieter home, and proper decompression, I may be able to tolerate other dogs—but slow, thoughtful introductions will be important. What I really need is someone willing to see past my rough beginning and help me write a happy ending. If you’re ready to give me that chance, I’d love to meet you.If you are interested in adopting, please copy and paste this link into your browser...https://www.apollosupportandrescue.org/adoptthisdog.htmlIncluded with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heart-worm preventative, heart-worm test if over 6 months, microchip with registration, and spayed or neutered- if not already, a voucher is provided.Show less

Story
Scout is a protective, loyal partner. He loves to run and is high energy. He would do great in a household that is active and will take him on walks, runs and hikes. Scout loves the water and jumps headfirst in our kiddie pools at the rescue. He is a very affectionate dog and loves to snuggle in bed under the covers. He clings to his owner with a bit of separation anxiety when owner is not around. In a home with little exercise, he can become bored and destructive. He is house trained and walks well on a leash. Since he has gotten older his energy is less, but he will still love walks and hike and then a nice soft place to nap. He was born in 2015 and is located at the Rescue. Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heart-worm preventative, heart-worm test if over 6 months, microchip with registration, and spayed or neutered- if not already, a voucher is provided. Story
Hi I`m Cali, I also go by Cali girl. I was born in 2017. I love to leap through the backyard like a kangaroo chasing after my Kong. We go to the lake and play in the water and take long car rides. I`m a great snuggler so much so I have to be the only animal snuggling. I`m great with kids, love to take long walks and chew on my peanut butter bones. I need a forever home where I am the only one being spoiled. At the facility I enjoy my time in the yard and long walks. If you love my ears in pictures wait till you see them in person!!Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heartworm preventative, heartworm test if over 6 months, microchip with registration, and spayed or neutered- if not already, a voucher is provided.

Due to my age, a heartworm test was not necessary, but I have been started on a preventative. I am also too young for a rabies vaccine, but don’t worry, Lewisville Animal Services will help schedule an appointment when I’m old enough for the vaccine. Story
We adopted Luna at an animal shelter earlier this year. She is very sweet and energetic. She’s a little shy around new people but warms up with kisses. We have sent her to dog training so she can obey basic commands and she is crate trained. We are looking to rehome her because we do not have enough time to walk her and play with her and she’s a high energy dog and needs an outlet for all her energy. The best family for her is one that’s able to take her on walks and to doggie parks and to keep up with her training!

Story
Meet Willow! Willow is A 12-Year-Old, 3-Footed German Shepherd Looking for Her Retirement Home. This sweet senior girl was surrendered to a local shelter alongside her 14-year-old sister. Heartbreakingly, her sister was adopted, and Willow was left behind. That's when we saw Willow was in need of some extra tender loving care and a place to go. Despite her rough luck, Willow’s spirit hasn’t dimmed. She’s gentle, obedient, and incredibly low-maintenance. She’s fully potty trained, kennel trained, and just wants a soft bed, good snacks, and a person to love her. She has had 3 feet since birth and it doesn’t hold her back! Willow is currently working on shedding a few pounds with a healthy diet to manage some skin allergies. She is an easy, relaxed girl. Willow enjoys a peaceful environment and would do best as the only pet in her home. She prefers a quiet and calm environment. She does live with other dogs in her foster home and does well, but she really would also enjoy her own space to be alone whether she lives with other dogs or not. She’s a slow, easygoing gal who’s perfectly content to spend her golden years snoozing by your side. If you’ve been looking for a quiet, loving companion to share your days with, Willow is your girl. ❤️ Interested in adopting or fostering? acesplacerescue.org/foster OR acesplacerescue.org/adoptionprocess

Story
Meet Hope! At 4 months old, this beautiful German Shepherd mix is already 30 lbs and growing into an incredibly smart, loyal, and loving companion. She loves splashing in the water, testing every toy she can find, playing with her dog friends, and giving lots of kisses. Once the zoomies are over, shes the sweetest cuddle bug around! Hope is: - 4 months old - 30lbs (est 70lbs full grown) - German Shepherd Mix - 90% crate & potty trained - Very smart! Knows sit, has a great recall, and learning more every day - Spayed, fully vaccinated & microchipped - Great with other large, playful dogs - Big fan of the water and all dog toys Like any puppy, Hope is still learning her manners and will need a family committed to continuing her training. Since shell likely be around 70 lbs full grown, her training and structure at this age is incredibly important. She is looking for a home without young kids or small dogs (due to her size and energy level), and she is not suitable for apartments. Hope has all the love, personality, and potential in the world, now she just needs a family to call her own. Could that be you?? View our adoption process and apply to adopt Hope on our website at: acesplacerescue.org/availabledogs Located in Fort Worth, TX but available for adoption everywhere! Transportation must be arranged by adopter.
