Story
Hunter is a 6 month old puppy, and around 30lbs. He loves to play with his people and other dogs. His favorite toys so far have been the flirt pole, tennis ball, and anything that squeaks! He also is a big fan of slow paced bike rides ( short and slow while he’s young ) one of his fosters favorite pastimes!    Hunter is a pretty chill puppy who would thrive with someone who could put time into his training and socialization. Chill doesn’t mean he doesn’t require exercise, so don’t be fooled he can run and run and run like every other puppy. Hunter is a little shy when it comes to new things, so a slow introduction is the best but he loves kids of all ages and dogs of all ages and temperaments.    He is not a huge fan of men yet but he is meeting new men with his foster and trying his hardest to get out of his shell.    He is still learning commands with “come” being his favorite and best command. His potty training is going great with his current foster but will require frequent potty break outside. Currently his potty breaks are monitored so we can make sure he goes before coming back in the house!    Hunter will come with two free lessons from our trainer Rachel Gilpin with AEG K9 Academy, who is also his current foster.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Auntie Em is a beautiful, German Shepherd Dog/Pitbull mix (50/50 according to the DNA test). Her dark Brindle coat and copper eyes are simply stunning - this girl turns heads! She is about 3.5 years old and weighs 64 pounds. She is very smart, obedient, powerful, and full of energy. If you are interested, please research both breeds. High energy, working dogs require a lot of exercise and stimuli. Auntie Em is very particular with other animals. She has interacted with various sized dogs. Sometimes it's playful, sometimes it's not. She does not like when other dogs get in her face or show any excitement or dominance. There is not a lot of warning when she's upset. A new owner will have to work with her and learn her cues and how to redirect her. Her prey drive is there for little furry things too, therefore no kitties. Em would do best as the only pet. She has loved all the people she has met so far with proper introduction. She is CRAZY food motivated. Em will eat anything, but chicken seems to make her itchy. Poultry free diet for this girl! She is gentle when taking treats, but is a bit protective of her bowl and yummy treats. Because of this and her occasional bursts of energy (zoomies), no children under 12 in the household for this gal. Em will definitely benefit from some obedience training to polish her manners. She does know some basic commands. She will go in a crate, but she does not love it. Em can be trusted in the house alone as long as she has her toys. She LOVES her toys. She also loves to hang out on the couch and on the bed if you will let her. Em will go in the car just fine - she is a little anxious at first, but settles down. She is micro-chipped, UTD on vaccines and spayed. She does get seasonal allergies too, but it is easily controlled with medication as needed. Em is going to make a wonderful pet for the right owner. She spends most of the day napping, but is always up for a walk or a quick game of fetch. She knows “sit,” “paw,” and “down,” is eager to please, and is responding well to additional training. She loves relaxing with us at the end of the day, either on the couch or in her own bed. She is housebroken and behaves well in a fenced-in yard, coming back when called. Echo is crate-trained and willingly goes into her crate at night. She sleeps through the night and says good morning with a down-dog and tail wags. Echo has greeted guests to the house calmly and kindly. She is reactive to other dogs when she sees them on a walk, so this will require continued training, but she is responding well to the training process. We have not seen her around children.
