Meet Hank the Tank! If you are looking for a handsome, clever, and active companion, look no further than Hank! This stunning German Shepherd/Husky mix is just under two years old and is looking for a forever home where he can truly blossom. Hank has a wonderful track record with children of all ages (including toddlers!). He is gentle, friendly, and playful around kids. He has successfully lived with both dogs and cats. He plays well with other dogs, preferring fun games of chase and light-contact play, and he is respectful and indifferent toward feline friends. True to his breed mix, Hank has a very high prey drive for birds and small animals, and he cannot be housed in a home with chickens or turkeys. Hank is a young, energetic dog who will thrive with a family ready to give him a little guidance as he settles in. Hank is incredibly outgoing and friendly with women, but he is currently quite timid and fearful around men. He will bark and back away when nervous, but with a patient adopter who is willing to give him space and time, he warms up nicely. Hank does experience some mild stress when left alone. He does best when given free roam of the home with plenty of appropriate chew toys or bones to keep his mind occupied (otherwise, he might find his own `projects` to chew!). He is crate trained, though he prefers having his freedom. Hank is a young, sweet boy with a heart of gold who just needs a supportive home to help him build up his confidence.
