Story
Sky has had a long hard life. She was found as a stray in Los Angeles, and brought into a high kill shelter. She was minutes from being euthanized for space when volunteer had posted a reel on Instagram asking someone to come save her. An adopter in Wisconsin saw her last minute and worked with a LA rescue to pull her and save her life. She stayed with a foster while she had surgery on her teeth, was spayed and brought up to date on vaccines. There was another dog in the foster home that she was okay with. After being transported and arriving in Wisconsin she started to bond with the couple in the home but was very stressed by the other dog. They have a two year old German Wirehair pointer that is full of energy and unfortunately that is extremely stressful for Sky. After working with a trainer and talking with the rescue it was decided she would be best as an only dog. When she’s along she’s an amazingly calm dog that just wants to be near you and feel safe.

Story
Dot the Shepherd Puppy's Story Arriving in WI on January 9th! Dot is an adorable 4 month old female puppy. She currently weighs about 20 pounds, and we anticipate her to be large breed when fully grown. She has a beautiful tan coat with a dark muzzle. Dot and her siblings ended up at a shelter in rural Texas due to no fault of their own. She is excited to come to Wisconsin and find her forever home. Dot loves people and plays well with other dogs. She is working hard on her potty training skills, but her forever family should be prepared to do more training while she learns the routine in her new home. She is up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and she comes with her medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies her to be in good condition. She will be arriving in Muskego, WI on Friday, January 9th, and will be available to meet, and take home if she is a good fit, by the first family to have placed an exclusive hold deposit as set out below. Her adoption fee is $500, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee. We use those funds to support our program of readying additional dogs, puppies and kittens which we transport and adopt out in the northern United States. Our goal is to get as many homeless animals out of south eastern Texas, where we have a severe pet overpopulation crisis. She is available for an exclusive hold with a deposit of $250, which we give on a first come, first served, basis. The balance of the adoption fee is due upon meeting/finalizing the adoption on Friday January 9th. If upon meeting, she is not a good fit for your family, the deposit is refundable. We ask that you are serious about your intent to adopt before placing a deposit, so as not to prevent her from finding his forever family in the meantime, as we only accept one deposit per dog. If placing a deposit is not the right fit for your family, we invite you to our adoption event at our office in Muskego on Sunday January 11th, where you can meet all of our available pups, no deposit necessary. If you’re not already familiar with our group, please feel free to visit our Group Page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/TxRescueRidersCommunity If you are serious about this pup, please contact us at DogTrailRides@gmail.com. We take payments through Zelle, Venmo, or CashApp, or we can take card numbers over the phone and process them through Square. All of these methods provide a receipt. Thank you for supporting our efforts to bring Texas dogs north to loving homes! You can read more about us at https://facebook.com/TxRescueRiders (Texas Rescue Riders). Also feel free to join our Group Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/groups/TxRescueRidersCommunity (Texas Rescue Riders Community) where members can post directly.
