Story
Sky has had a long hard life. She was found as a stray in Los Angeles, and brought into a high kill shelter. She was minutes from being euthanized for space when volunteer had posted a reel on Instagram asking someone to come save her. An adopter in Wisconsin saw her last minute and worked with a LA rescue to pull her and save her life. She stayed with a foster while she had surgery on her teeth, was spayed and brought up to date on vaccines. There was another dog in the foster home that she was okay with. After being transported and arriving in Wisconsin she started to bond with the couple in the home but was very stressed by the other dog. They have a two year old German Wirehair pointer that is full of energy and unfortunately that is extremely stressful for Sky. After working with a trainer and talking with the rescue it was decided she would be best as an only dog. When she’s along she’s an amazingly calm dog that just wants to be near you and feel safe.

Story
Meet Jaeger, a loving 5-year-old pup with a big heart and even bigger energy! Found abandoned with his brother in Alabama and adopted in 2020 through Hope for Hearts, Jaeger has grown into a loyal, playful companion who adores being part of the family. Unfortunately, we have downsized from a house to an apartment and recently welcomed our second baby, who has developed pet allergies. Between less outdoor space and limited time, Jaeger isn't getting the attention and exercise he deserves. He's great with kids but would thrive best in a home with older children who can match his enthusiasm for play. He's done well with other dogs both at home and at the park, though his experience with cats is unknown. Jaeger loves being active, snuggling up after a good run, and being part of the action. He deserves a home where he can stretch his legs, get plenty of love, and enjoy life to the fullest.

Story
Introducing Kai, a 7 year old female Dutch shepherd. She has lived a wonderful life and has been well cared for and socialized but her owner has come into hard times and has to make the incredibly hard decision to find her a new home. He loves her so much and knows she deserves the world that he can’t provide. Please no rude comments, he is heartbroken. Kai is an incredibly intelligent dog. She absolutely adores people. She is 7 years old but she is still ready for adventures. Kai will need a family that will provide daily exercise and then a couch to sleep on! Kai is good with other dogs, especially male dogs. She has also been around cats and was great with them. Kai has been professionally trained and is housetrained. Kai is located in Huntsville AL. We are needing to find her a forever home by the end of the month! If you are interested in adopting Kai, please fill out an application on our website forrescue.net
