Apply to meet Scheppy today!   Adoption Fee: $450We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time, we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. December 9, 2025, 6:15 pm

On 12/6, she made it safely out of Arkansas and traveled to Wisconsin, where she is now settling beautifully into her foster home. From Her Foster: Sweet Pea is settling in very nicely! She loves to play with the resident dogs and absolutely loves the snow. Sweets slept overnight in her crate and is definitely living up to her name. She is loving to everyone she meets and is one smart puppy. Her foster mom says she will make a wonderful addition to any family looking for a furry family member. This little girl is all heart and still learning the ropes, as all puppies are, but her warm, affectionate personality makes her a wonderful fit for many types of homes. Sweet Pea is great with people, kids, and other dogs, and because she is still so young, she will likely do well with cats too. Age: 5 months Gender: Female Weight: 15 lbs Breed: Mixed breed (brindle) Personality & Training: Sweet, friendly, eager to love Puppy in training Potty, crate, and leash training in progress Good With: Dogs Cats (likely, due to age) Kids Spayed/Neutered: Not yet Sweet Pea deserves a loving home where she can grow, play, learn, and be your best girl. Story
You know that feeling when you meet someone who just gets you? That’s Holly, a 2.5-year-old shepherd mix who rolled into our Wisconsin rescue in January, from Texas. She was a bit of a mystery at first, on a medical hold while we figured out her needs, but now? She’s pure sunshine, trotting through her foster farm with a goofy grin, weaving between horses and chickens, and loving the resident dogs. Cats, though... she’s got a nosy streak, so let’s keep her home cat-free! Holly’s got this quiet magic. She’ll flop onto the grass to soak up the sun, or lean into your hand for a scratch, like she’s saying, “This is enough.” She’s crate-trained, housebroken, and fits into any dog crew like she was born for it. But here’s the deal: Holly’s epileptic, kept steady with Phenobarbital and Keppra. She’s a fighter, and she needs someone just as strong- someone who’ll see her seizures as a small part of her huge heart. Whether you’ve got a farm where she can roam or a cozy couch for her to claim, Holly’s ready to be your ride-or-die. She’s not perfect, but she’s perfectly Holly: quirky, brave, and ready to love you with everything she’s got. If Holly’s tugging at your soul, don’t wait. Apply at www.HBWI.org/adopt and give this girl the home she’s been dreaming of! FEE INCLUDES: Adopting an adult dog (6 months or older) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm testing, and microchipping. For dogs under 6 months, they receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and microchipping. All dogs are spayed/neutered by 6 months, covered within the adoption fee. The procedure must be done at one of our partner clinics. To begin the adoption process, please submit an application on our website: www.hbwi.org/adopt. Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to meet our available dogs. Following the meeting, you can initiate a 5-day Adoption Trial, allowing you to take the dog home. This trial period is designed to ensure the dog is a match for you and aligns with your lifestyle. After the 5-day trial, if all goes well, the adoption will be finalized. Additionally, we require a home visit once the dog is settled in its new home to ensure a smooth transition for both the dog and the adopter.
