Maria is a sweet little girl - an 11 month old Feist/Hound-mix with a pretty brown and white coat.  She is a little bit shy at first but is super sweet once she knows you.  Then she will love you with all her heart.   Maria had a rough start to her life, arriving at the shelter after her home caught fire. She came to us with her two sisters, Danica & Lindsey, who have both found their furever homes. Maria was adopted and spent a few weeks in a home, but was returned through no real fault of her own. Maria has lived with other dogs, but we definitely suggest a meet-n-greet if you have other dogs in the home. Maria is an amazing and sweet lady who deserves a shot at true happiness!  She has such grace and agility, it's beautiful to watch her run in the shelter’s park. Maria will make such a wonderful companion dog!   The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. A cute kid with big puppy-dog eyes, he is loyal to his friends, and becomes friends in the usual way - treats! The way to a dog's heart truly is his stomach. He has learned leash manners and sit, and likes to show off his smile (don't mind that it is 'toothy'!). New things and quick movements can spook him, but a dose of your confidence helps overcomes his suspicions. Shelter pups are pad trained and worked with on housetraining.
