Story
Moose came to the Rescue as an owner surrender. He is a sweetie who is friendly to people he doesn’t know, though he does take a minute to warm up. He’s mostly housebroken if you let him out often enough. He’s not a fan of being in a crate but will tolerate being in one for short periods of time. When Moose is happy to see his person, he will bring his toys that he plays with at times. Like most Chihuahuas, Moose is independent and wants things his way. Moose had a neuter, a dental, and his left eye was removed, which means he is happier with no longer needing that eye to be cleaned and medicated. These procedures were done in mid-April 2025 and Moose is healing well. Moose is ready to go to an approved forever home! Local Indianapolis adoption only. SP 4/7/25

Story
Lady Mae is a particularly special pet. She came to us with 2 two other pets. One was another 2-legged chihuahua the other had all of her limbs. These pets were taken in by a kind person who wanted them to have the best home. All the pets were timid, Lady and the 4-legged pet, Teya were overweight, the 3rd one was much smaller. All showed a lack of socialization and hadn't spent much time outdoors. Since coming to rescue several months ago, Lady has learned to get around well, has lost some of her excess weight and is able to be social with other pets and people. Taking into consideration her special needs, the home we want to place her in would have experience with or at least a strong understanding of "biped" pets. She isn't a novelty, she is a special needs dog and we want her to live her best, most fulfilled life. If she finds her home in another state, we would have the adopter help with transport and the costs of that. She has an adoption fee of $450. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and has been heartworm tested negative.

Meet River! This sweet little puppy is just 6 weeks old and already showing off a big personality. They are playful, curious, and love exploring everything around them. Like most puppies this age, they are still learning about the world and discovering all the fun that comes with being a puppy. They will be ready to start going home in about 2 to 3 weeks, around  September 12. We are looking forward to watching this little one grow and find the perfect family to call their own. ##2817101##
