I’m Pacaya, an athletic, happy, and downright charismatic girl with a heart full of joy and paws made for exploring. I’m friendly, engaging and I has got a gorgeous coat that goes from a warm tan to a rich red when the sun hits me just right. I'm always ready for the next adventure — especially if it involves hiking, swimming and exploring(yes, I take the scenic route whenever possible). If you love the outdoors, we’re already best friends. Trails? I’m in. Lakes? I’m already splashing. Hills? I’ll meet you at the top, tail wagging proudly. I thrive with an active person or family who enjoys getting out and doing things — I make an excellent hiking buddy, jogging partner, or “let’s-see-what’s-over-there” companion. But don’t let my athletic side fool you — once the adventure is done, I’m all about the wind-down life. Belly rubs, ear scratches, lounging with my people and giving the best hugs are absolute perfection. Do you some silly fun in your life? SPUD is here to help. He's a 3 month old puppy currently 8 pounds. Spud loves toys, playtime and following his foster mom everywhere. He has the cutest little puppy trot and deliciously unruly ears. Spud and his brother Tater came to us from a backyard breeder who was breeding Feists, a small southern dog breed. We aren't sure what the actual breed is on these pups, we think they look like Jack Russel Terrier mixes. Spud is full of puppy shenanigans and needs a home with another playful dog. We estimate he will grow to be a 20-25 pound adult dog. If you've been following us over the last month, you may recall ELO, WIGGLES and SHORTY. They came from the same owner/property. None of the dogs on the property were larger than 25 pounds. If you would like to meet Spud, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Spud at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Spud will go to his furever homes on a trial basis. His adoption will be finalized when all of the vetting covered by their adoption fee is completed. Spud needs to go to a home in the greater Cincinnati in order to complete the vetting covered by his adoption fee. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention. TATER is a silly, fun, adventurous puppy looking for a home! He's around 12 weeks old and currently 8 pounds. Tater and his brother Spud came to us from someone who was breeding Feists, so officially he's a feist but we suspect he's part Jack Russell Terrier and heaven knows what else. We expect Tater to be 25ish pounds when fully grown. Tater loves to play outdoors and loves to chase leaves. He sleeps all night in his doggie bed with all his friends, and by friends we mean all his toys. Tater is fostered with other dogs and kids. He's crate trained and doing well on housebreaking. Tater will thrive in a home where he has a playful dog to help train him. All puppies require training, Tater needs a home with an adopter willing to train him to become a well-mannered family member. If you'd like to meet Tater, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. So here are a few facts about me; I am great with other dogs and love a doggy friend in my furever home..no felines though...they r not my favorite friends.... I am looking forward to having my own family, one that will commit to me furever. I ended up in rescue because my mom had to go to a nursing home and none of the family wanted to take care of me...... so here I am looking for you! Don't make me wait too long!!
