I’m Pacaya, an athletic, happy, and downright charismatic girl with a heart full of joy and paws made for exploring. I’m friendly, engaging and I has got a gorgeous coat that goes from a warm tan to a rich red when the sun hits me just right. I'm always ready for the next adventure — especially if it involves hiking, swimming and exploring(yes, I take the scenic route whenever possible). If you love the outdoors, we’re already best friends. Trails? I’m in. Lakes? I’m already splashing. Hills? I’ll meet you at the top, tail wagging proudly. I thrive with an active person or family who enjoys getting out and doing things — I make an excellent hiking buddy, jogging partner, or “let’s-see-what’s-over-there” companion. But don’t let my athletic side fool you — once the adventure is done, I’m all about the wind-down life. Belly rubs, ear scratches, lounging with my people and giving the best hugs are absolute perfection. I’m not wild or frantic — just a well-balanced girl who knows when to go full throttle and when to relax like a pro. 🐾 Pacaya at a Glance: ✔️ ~2 years old, ~40 lbs of happy athletic energy ✔️ Friendly, confident, and full of personality ✔️ Loves hiking, swimming, and climbing ✔️ Great with other dogs ✔️ House trained and well-mannered ✔️ Smart, attentive, and eager to engage with her people A quick note from management: while I adore dogs and humans, cats and chickens are not on my guest list. (Nothing personal — just best to admire them from afar.) I bring joy into every space I enter, communicate with my bright eyes and expressive personality, and truly enjoy being part of a family. I pay attention, listen well, and love being involved in whatever my humans are doing — especially if it ends with a nap under the fan. If you’re searching for an active, loving, adventurous companion who’s equal parts fun and affectionate, I might just be your perfect match. 🌟 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Pacaya lead you into your next great adventure! 🐾💛

Do you some silly fun in your life? SPUD is here to help. He's a 3 month old puppy currently 8 pounds. Spud loves toys, playtime and following his foster mom everywhere. He has the cutest little puppy trot and deliciously unruly ears. Spud and his brother Tater came to us from a backyard breeder who was breeding Feists, a small southern dog breed. We aren't sure what the actual breed is on these pups, we think they look like Jack Russel Terrier mixes. Spud is full of puppy shenanigans and needs a home with another playful dog. We estimate he will grow to be a 20-25 pound adult dog. If you've been following us over the last month, you may recall ELO, WIGGLES and SHORTY. They came from the same owner/property. None of the dogs on the property were larger than 25 pounds. If you would like to meet Spud, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Spud at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Spud will go to his furever homes on a trial basis. His adoption will be finalized when all of the vetting covered by their adoption fee is completed. Spud needs to go to a home in the greater Cincinnati in order to complete the vetting covered by his adoption fee. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. TATER is a silly, fun, adventurous puppy looking for a home! He's around 12 weeks old and currently 8 pounds. Tater and his brother Spud came to us from someone who was breeding Feists, so officially he's a feist but we suspect he's part Jack Russell Terrier and heaven knows what else. We expect Tater to be 25ish pounds when fully grown. Tater loves to play outdoors and loves to chase leaves. He sleeps all night in his doggie bed with all his friends, and by friends we mean all his toys. Tater is fostered with other dogs and kids. He's crate trained and doing well on housebreaking. Tater will thrive in a home where he has a playful dog to help train him. All puppies require training, Tater needs a home with an adopter willing to train him to become a well-mannered family member. If you'd like to meet Tater, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Tater at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet  Mowie , a charming Chihuahua/Terrier mix with a survival story as cool as the storm he escaped!   Born around  August 4, 2024 , and weighing in at a sturdy  15.9 pounds , Mowie is the definition of a "tough guy with a heart of gold." He was discovered hanging around the guard shack at  Randolph AFB  just as a major ice storm was rolling in. The kind-hearted guards had been sharing their lunches with him to keep him going, but they knew he needed a warm hearth to survive the freeze.   Mowie is a truly great boy who is ready to trade base security for home security. He does have one quirky "occupational hazard": he’s a bit of a serial humper when it comes to other dogs, which hasn't always won him friends at the park. However, he was  recently neutered , and we are optimistic that this will help him keep his "enthusiasm" in check as his hormones settle down.   Mowie’s Stats: Birthday:  ~08/04/2024 (approx. 1.5 years old) Weight:  15.9 lbs Background:  Air Force Base veteran & lunch-sharing expert Personality:  Resilient, social, and brave If you’re looking for a loyal companion who has been "cleared for duty," Mowie is your man! You can apply for him at www.adoggie4you.org.  His adoption fee is $300.   This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 16, 2026, 11:04 am

Story
Hendricks is an 8-year-old Chihuahua/Terrier mix with a big personality wrapped in a perfectly portable 15-ish pound frame. Once upon a time he may have been a certified little gremlin, but these days he’s embraced his distinguished gentleman era. He’s incredibly people-friendly and happiest when he’s part of the action. Whether it’s tagging along around the house, hopping in the car for a ride, or claiming his rightful spot on the couch for cuddle time, Hendricks just wants to be near his person. If you close the door and exclude him, he will absolutely voice his opinion about it — participation is mandatory in his world. He enjoys walks, loves toys, and has mellowed into a much more relaxed companion as he’s gotten older. He does well with calm dogs and tends to mirror the energy of others. Hyper or pushy dogs aren’t really his vibe anymore — he prefers a chill crew. He’s shown curiosity toward cats (even if they weren’t quite as impressed with him), and he’s very friendly w/ people
