I'm always ready for the next adventure — especially if it involves hiking, swimming and exploring(yes, I take the scenic route whenever possible). If you love the outdoors, we’re already best friends. Trails? I’m in. Lakes? I’m already splashing. Hills? I’ll meet you at the top, tail wagging proudly. Momma Jelly Belly (knows the name Millie) has officially raised her last litter, and is now single and ready to mingle! She is a young feist mix, very petite at only 32 lbs, and has been learning a lot about manners now that she's done with her mothering responsibilities. - house and crate trained - great with other dogs, loves to play and wrestle - curious about cats but doesn't hurt or chase them - fairly good on a leash, does like to take walks - higher energy, does keep herself busy with bones and toys - not a cuddler, but is a kisser and does like to be near her humans - working on not jumping on people and her commands like 'sit' - probably too energetic for small children Applications can be filled out in advance at adoptastray.com ! CUTE PUPPY ALERT! Are you ready for some silly fun in your life? SPUD and TATER are here to help. They are 11 week old puppies, currently just under 7 pounds. Spud and Tater came from a backyard breeder who was breeding Feists, a small southern dog breed. We aren't sure what the actual breed is on these pups, we think they look like Jack Russel Terrier mixes. Spud and Tater are full of puppy shenanigans and are best suited to homes with another playful dog. We estimate they will grow to be 20-25 pounds when fully grown. If you've been following us over the last month, you may recall ELO, WIGGLES and SHORTY. They came from the same owner. None of the dogs on the property were larger than 25 pounds. If you would like to meet Spud or Tater, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. Spud and Tater will go to their furever homes on a trial basis. Their adoptions will be finalized when all of the vetting covered by their adoption fee is completed. Spud and Tater need to go to homes in the greater Cincinnati in order to complete their vetting. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention. Do you want a small dog companion but NOT a lap dog? Do you want a dog who will run from you rather than towards you? Do you want a dog who prefers the company of other dogs over you? Well then I have got the perfect dog for you!! Please give a warm welcome to Clementine! In all seriousness, she is an adorable little girl. Clementine came to Hart in June 2021 and has been in the same foster home ever since. She with so many others was rescued from a hoarding situation in Tennessee. To this day, she still exhibits nervousness around people. For this reason, she is looking for a very special adopter. The adopter will need to be very patient with her and give her ample time to show her brand of affection. While she still runs from me if I try to approach her to pet her, she does make her way over to me at bedtime for lovings. She will even sleep in bed with me and give me some sweet kisses. But when it’s time to get up, she darts away again. I truly can’t explain it but I have learned to accept it. Clementine does great with her doggy friends. She is most comfortable with other dogs. The ideal adopter will have another dog in the home that will groom and “mother” her. She loves having a dog around that she can curl up with!! Also, since she is hard to catch, a fenced in yard would be best for her. Due to the fact that Clementine can be a challenge to catch and she does not come when called, any meet/greets will have to be done at the adopter’s home and only within 25 miles of the Northern Kentucky area. PS Guard your socks. She loves socks (haha)

Hi, I am Rosie and I am super shy. I am about 6 years old, have been with HART since June 2021 and am looking for a home to call my own. I came from a hoarding situation where over 150 doggies just like me were living together in a small house. My ideal space will either be with one of my friends (King is extra snuggly) or in a home with a dog about my size to hang around. I am a pretty easy going gal and am not territorial about my food, toys or treats. I don't mind cats but a doggie friend is a must for me. I am happiest if I get to roam around a yard with a fence as I have rarely been on a leash and just don't like it. I think I could learn to love humans and their attention but I will need time and patience as I am just learning what it is like to be loved. Think you might be the family for me?
