WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org 🌋🐾 Meet Pacaya — Adventure Enthusiast, Water Lover & Certified Good Girl 🐾🌋 Hi! I’m Pacaya, an athletic, happy, and downright charismatic girl with a heart full of joy and paws made for exploring. I’m friendly, engaging and I has got a gorgeous coat that goes from a warm tan to a rich red when the sun hits me just right. I'm always ready for the next adventure — especially if it involves hiking, swimming and exploring(yes, I take the scenic route whenever possible). If you love the outdoors, we’re already best friends. Trails? I’m in. Lakes? I’m already splashing. Hills? I’ll meet you at the top, tail wagging proudly. I thrive with an active person or family who enjoys getting out and doing things — I make an excellent hiking buddy, jogging partner, or “let’s-see-what’s-over-there” companion. But don’t let my athletic side fool you — once the adventure is done, I’m all about the wind-down life. Belly rubs, ear scratches, lounging with my people and giving the best hugs are absolute perfection. I’m not wild or frantic — just a well-balanced girl who knows when to go full throttle and when to relax like a pro. 🐾 Pacaya at a Glance: ✔️ ~2 years old, ~40 lbs of happy athletic energy ✔️ Friendly, confident, and full of personality ✔️ Loves hiking, swimming, and climbing ✔️ Great with other dogs ✔️ House trained and well-mannered ✔️ Smart, attentive, and eager to engage with her people A quick note from management: while I adore dogs and humans, cats and chickens are not on my guest list. (Nothing personal — just best to admire them from afar.) I bring joy into every space I enter, communicate with my bright eyes and expressive personality, and truly enjoy being part of a family. I pay attention, listen well, and love being involved in whatever my humans are doing — especially if it ends with a nap under the fan. If you’re searching for an active, loving, adventurous companion who’s equal parts fun and affectionate, I might just be your perfect match. 🌟 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Pacaya lead you into your next great adventure! 🐾💛

Story
PETIE is a sweet friendly little gem of a dog. He's a 5-6 year old 23 pound boy. He is said to be a Feist, an old southern breed. Petie is a charmer. He loves loves loves his toys, loves people and is great with other dogs. He's a medium energy silly boy. He's a people magnet at adoption events, everyone stops to say hello. Petie is housebroken, crate trained and fine with cats. Basically, a perfect little sidekick. If you'd like to meet Petie, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Petie at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention. Story
Do you some silly fun in your life? SPUD is here to help. He's a 3 month old puppy currently 8 pounds. Spud loves toys, playtime and following his foster mom everywhere. He has the cutest little puppy trot and deliciously unruly ears. Spud and his brother Tater came to us from a backyard breeder who was breeding Feists, a small southern dog breed. We aren't sure what the actual breed is on these pups, we think they look like Jack Russel Terrier mixes. Spud is full of puppy shenanigans and needs a home with another playful dog. We estimate he will grow to be a 20-25 pound adult dog. If you've been following us over the last month, you may recall ELO, WIGGLES and SHORTY. They came from the same owner/property. None of the dogs on the property were larger than 25 pounds. If you would like to meet Spud, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Spud at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Spud will go to his furever homes on a trial basis. His adoption will be finalized when all of the vetting covered by their adoption fee is completed. Spud needs to go to a home in the greater Cincinnati in order to complete the vetting covered by his adoption fee. Story
TATER is a silly, fun, adventurous puppy looking for a home! He's around 12 weeks old and currently 8 pounds. Tater and his brother Spud came to us from someone who was breeding Feists, so officially he's a feist but we suspect he's part Jack Russell Terrier and heaven knows what else. We expect Tater to be 25ish pounds when fully grown. Tater loves to play outdoors and loves to chase leaves. He sleeps all night in his doggie bed with all his friends, and by friends we mean all his toys. Tater is fostered with other dogs and kids. He's crate trained and doing well on housebreaking. Tater will thrive in a home where he has a playful dog to help train him. All puppies require training, Tater needs a home with an adopter willing to train him to become a well-mannered family member. If you'd like to meet Tater, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Tater at our weekly adoption event, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. Story
**Please read the profile in its entirety. The adoption process and their basic needs are addressed in the profile. We are an all volunteer organization and are busy caring for our foster animals so we cannot respond to emails that ask questions already addressed ** Adoption Process: Step 1:    Complete a "no obligation" application located on our website at pawprintsnky.com under Adopt.  . Step 2:    PawPrints will review the application, verifying Vet and personal references as well as landlord requirements/restrictions (if applicable) Step 3:    IF your application is approved, we will call you to schedule a meet and greet for you to meet the pet. &#226&#128&#139Step 4:   If the meet and greet goes well, we will schedule the home visit. We’ve tried the more subtle approach and it’s not working, so blunt and brutal it is.   Paco needs a unicorn adopter.  He has some fear based issues so he’s horrible with new people.  His adopter will need to let Paco adjust at his own pace and ignore him for days, maybe longer, when he arrives in your home.  If you ignore our advice, he won’t hesitate to remind you that you’re moving too quickly and need to slow down, so no worries about wondering if you’re going at his speed or not.    He loves to sit on your lap and wants to be close to you all the time.  If you need a lap warmer, he’s your man.  That doesn’t in any way mean he likes to be picked up (again, he’ll remind you of his disdain if you try).   We don’t even try to bathe him because we would like to keep all of our fingers.     Don’t adopt him with the idea that he’ll someday be warm and fuzzy with visitors, it’s a nice thought but he’s probably never going to be that dog.     The good...once he trusts you he loves you and he needs your life to revolve around him.  He forms a strong attachment to one person and wants to be the love of your life   He becomes so attached that he is recommended for a single person home   More good...he likes big dogs.  He tolerates small dogs (although he can be a bit bossy) but appreciates the friendship of a bigger dog (especially if they let him run underneath them when he’s frightened).  He’s okay with dog-savvy cats but he’ll be bossy and chase (no biting) cats who won’t stand their ground. A dog experienced person who has as much of a dislike for other humans as Paco does would be a perfect match for him.  Because he doesn’t like people, walks aren’t his thing.  He does love running in a fenced in yard though, and he’ll alert you to every falling leaf, neighbors 5 houses down who has the audacity to be carrying their groceries inside and when the wind changes direction   You’ll never miss any of the neighborhood happenings with Paco around    Paco is a 6 year old Chihuahua/Dachshund who has spent entirely too much time in his foster home.   He adores his foster mom but it’s time for him to plant some permanent roots    He’s neutered, heartworm negative and up to date on vaccines. You can find an adoption application at www.pawprintsnky.com. Once the application is submitted, please expect someone to email you with questions and/or provide more information about the dog is we are unsure that the dog may be a good fit.   Most importantly, please be honest!  We have many people tell us what they think we want to read, not what's truthful.  If there are discrepancies, your application will be denied.  It's important for us to place dogs in a home that's suitable.  You may be a stellar owner but possibly not a good fit for the dog you were first interested in adopting.  We're not trying to offend anyone, we're trying to set everyone up for success.    We're a best fit rescue and will verify your vet and personal references. *Chihuahua/Dachshund *6 years old *11 lbs *Good with cats and dogs (including large dogs) *Not recommended for a home with children or one where children visit   * Best in a single person home but may adjust to a home with two people    * No homes that share walls with neighbors  * Needs a fenced in yard as he does not do well on walks *Adopters must live within 2 hours of Florence, KY *Adoption fee is $300.00    October 12, 2024, 12:11 pm

M **PLEASE READ ENTIRE BIO! Any additional questions, not answered in the bio may be asked via email at: pawprintsnky@gmail.com. This is to ensure a prompt response, as inquiries anywhere else may be missed. ****   Bamm-Bamm Available:  Yes Gender: Male Age: Approx. 9 years Weight: 7 lbs Breed: Chihuahua mix Neutered: Yes Vaccinated: Yes Microchipped: Yes Adoption Fee: $250.00 (plus tax) Foster Location: N Ky.   Applicants must live within 100 miles of Florence, KY, no exceptions.   Home Recommendation: Single Family. Fenced yard.  He talks back like a teenager oozing attitude and tends to like to be vocal (he *is* a Chihuahua), so a home that has walls that are shared with a neighbor won't work.  He will scream and act like you're killing him if you try to leash him, so a fenced in yard is a must. Oh, and he doesn't like to be picked up either.   He loves to be near his people and be as close as he can.      Cats: Well, he lives with cats and hasn't injured any, but he can sometimes be a jerk to them.  He'll randomly "guard" water dishes and other items, and he'll chase the cats away, but no teeth are involved.   Kids: Due to his size, he's not recommended for a home with younger children or where children visit often.   Crate Trained: He is crate trained but his foster family usually just leaves him loose.   Potty Trained: He really needs to have puppy pads out for him to use because he won't try to hold it until the next trip outside.   Dogs: He's a bit bossy but is okay with small dogs.  He screams like he's been injured when he sees a large dog, so those are a no for him.   Leash Manners: Nope, not happening.  Unless you want to lose the tips of your fingers and listen to a dog screaming, it's a no. Bamm-Bamm thinks he's a Coon Hound whose job is to "tree" squirrels and is happy to do so for hours when the weather is nice.  He's a busy little guy who is always on the move and not one to spend time sitting on anyone's lap.     Adoption Process: Step 1:    Complete a "no obligation" application located on our website at pawprintsnky.com under the applications tab. **PLEASE READ ENTIRE BIO! Any additional questions, not answered in the bio may be asked via email at: pawprintsnky@gmail.com. This is to ensure a prompt response, as inquiries anywhere else may be missed. **** Chloe Available:  Yes Gender: Female Age: 6 years Weight: 6 lbs Breed: Chihuahua Mix Spayed: Yes Vaccinated: Yes Microchipped: Yes Adoption Fee: $300.00 (plus tax) Location: Adopters must live within 100 miles of Florence, KY She is not a hypoallergenic dog, so her hair does not grow any longer than what's visible in her photos.   Home Recommendation: Single Family. Fenced yard.  Chloe is a skittish dog so needs a home with a fenced in yard.  She will need time to acclimate to her new home and needs a fence to keep her safe.  She does not enjoy taking walks and finds them to be very scary.   She is a trip hazard so a home with someone with mobility issues would not be a good match.   Cats: She's a bit bossy with cats and because of this we recommend a home without them. We will consider a home with cats that are very dog savvy.  Kids: Chloe is timid and would do best in a quieter home. She tends to hide when there are loud noises. Older children should be fine as long as they understand she may take time to adjust.  Potty Trained: Chloe does really well on a scheduled. She may not signal that she needs to go out, but routine helps prevent accidents. She is also used to having access to pee pads and uses them.  Dogs: Chloe can be a bit nervous with larger dogs and does best with dogs similar to her small size. We are REQUIRING another dog to be in the home with her. This will help her nervous personality adjust to her knew home.  Leash Manners: Chloe prefers the comfort of her own yard and therefor has not had much leash training.  Adoption Process: Step 1:     Complete a "no obligation" application located on our website at pawprintsnky.com under the applications tab.
