Story
Meet Vivi! Vivi was found as a stray and ended up in animal control before coming to rescue. She is estimated to be around 10 years old, but she definitely didn’t get the memo—Vivi has plenty of energy and a tail that seems to wag nonstop. She’s a happy, curious girl who loves to be part of the action. If something moves, Vivi wants to check it out! She enjoys playing and still has a fun, youthful spirit. Vivi is a smart girl who knows “sit” and understands “no.” She appears eager to please and is learning that calm behavior earns attention and pets. She is also very good motivated. 😉 She’s quiet in her kennel, keeps it clean, and has not been destructive in her foster home. After a couple of initial accidents (normal when adjusting to a new home), she’s doing well going potty outside. She LOVES walks and belly rubs!! Vivi has met the resident dog in her foster home and did fine, but she can be a little enthusiastic and barky and is still learning doggy boundaries. Because of this, she will need slow introductions with other dogs. Vivi can also be a little sneaky around doors, so adopters will need to be careful when coming and going. She should not be off leash unless in a securely fenced area, as she does enjoy running. She is not a fan of small squeaky fast-moving kids but older kids are ok. Vivi is not a fan of apartments and wants to protect her owner so will bark at strangers. A house with a fenced yard is best for Vivi. If you think Vivi might be the right fit for your home, please apply at www.campcompanion.org. Her adoption fee is $450 plus tax

Story
Maddox 💙 **Blind, Brave, and Full of Joy** Meet Maddox, a one-of-a-kind boy who proves every day that obstacles are no match for a happy heart. Maddox may be blind, but don’t tell him that! This playful, energetic pup lives life at full speed. He loves other dogs, zooming around the backyard, and making everyone laugh with his goofy personality. In fact, he's so smart that he learned how to use the doggie door on his very first day at his babysitter's house and had the layout of the home and yard figured out within 24 hours—with a little help from his doggy friends. Maddox's journey hasn't been easy. He was found wandering the streets of Mexico after what was likely a traumatic accident that left him blind. Despite everything he's been through, Maddox has chosen joy. He wakes up every day ready to play, explore, and love. While he can be a little cautious when meeting new people, once he realizes he's safe, his walls come down quickly. These days, he's become his foster parent's little shadow, happily following them around the house, asking for snuggles, and soaking up all the love he can get. And trust us—when Maddox leans in for affection, your heart won't stand a chance. Maddox is searching for a special family willing to give him a little patience while he learns a new home. The first day or two may require consistency, kindness, and understanding as he maps out his surroundings and gets comfortable with his people. But once he settles in, you'll discover an incredibly loyal, loving companion who will fill your home with laughter and happiness. **Maddox's Ideal Home:** 💙 May be best without small kids 💙 Patient adopters who will let him move at his own pace 💙 A family willing to continue helping him with potty training and leash skills 💙 A consistent routine to help him thrive 💙 Someone who appreciates a dog with a huge personality and a zest for life Maddox doesn't need a perfect home. He just needs a chance. A chance to keep proving how resilient he is. A chance to trust. A chance to love. And a chance to show one lucky family that blindness doesn't define him—it simply makes his story even more remarkable. If you have room in your heart for a brave little survivor with endless love to give, Maddox is waiting to meet you. 💙 *Maddox isn't looking for someone to rescue him. He's looking for someone to share his adventure with.*

Story
Meet Rubin — a tiny 7.7-pound Chihuahua with the cutest little butt wiggle you’ve ever seen. The second he spots you, his whole back end starts wiggling like he just won the lottery. It’s impossible not to smile when you see him coming your way. Rubin came from a breeder situation, so he can still play a little hard to get at first. He likes to make sure you’re trustworthy before fully giving away his heart. But once he settles in, he absolutely loves couch time and cuddling up with his people. He’s currently learning all the important pet dog skills — stairs are a brand-new adventure, and he’s getting pretty proud of himself for mastering them. He’s also learning to walk on a leash and doing well with potty training as long as he stays on a consistent schedule. Rubin recently got neutered and had a full dental cleaning, so his pearly whites are all fresh and sparkling. He does great with other dogs and would likely enjoy having a canine friend around. Because he can be shy, he may need a little patience around children. If you’re looking for a tiny companion with adorable wiggles, a sweet personality, and a soft spot for couch cuddles, Rubin might just be your perfect match. Adoption fee: $450 + tax.
