Pippa is an 8-year-old Chihuahua mix who came to PCHS from a rescue partner. She weighs about 9 pounds and is definitely a spicy little gal who knows what she wants! Pippa is still new here and isn’t quite sure what to think about shelter life yet. She is starting to figure out that the people here are pretty nice, though. We have a feeling Pippa would much rather spend her days in a nice warm lap with some yummy snacks nearby. Meet Vivi! Vivi was found as a stray and ended up in animal control before coming to rescue. She is estimated to be around 10 years old, but she definitely didn’t get the memo—Vivi has plenty of energy and a tail that seems to wag nonstop. She’s a happy, curious girl who loves to be part of the action. If something moves, Vivi wants to check it out! She enjoys playing and still has a fun, youthful spirit. Vivi is a smart girl who knows “sit” and understands “no.” She appears eager to please and is learning that calm behavior earns attention and pets. She is also very good motivated. 😉 She’s quiet in her kennel, keeps it clean, and has not been destructive in her foster home. After a couple of initial accidents (normal when adjusting to a new home), she’s doing well going potty outside. She LOVES walks and belly rubs!! Vivi has met the resident dog in her foster home and did fine, but she can be a little enthusiastic and barky and is still learning doggy boundaries. Because of this, she will need slow introductions with other dogs. Vivi can also be a little sneaky around doors, so adopters will need to be careful when coming and going. She should not be off leash unless in a securely fenced area, as she does enjoy running. She is not a fan of small squeaky fast-moving kids but older kids are ok. Vivi is not a fan of apartments and wants to protect her owner so will bark at strangers. A house with a fenced yard is best for Vivi. She came into rescue with her brother, Tater, and these two make quite the adorable pair. Noodle would love to have another friendly dog in her forever home to keep her company. Mom is 12 lbs. Noodle is a happy little girl who loves being outside. She enjoys running around, chewing on sticks, lounging in the sunshine, and joining in when the neighborhood dogs have something to say. 😂 She may bark at dogs or people walking past the house and will bark at the neighbor dogs through the fence, so her family should be comfortable with a puppy who likes to announce what’s happening around her. She is working on her potty training and has learned how to use a doggy door to come back into the house, although she currently prefers being let outside through the regular human door. # Meet Little Bit ❤️ Little Bit aka Ramona originally came to us from a hoarding case in Arkansas in 2024. She was adopted, but sadly, her owner now has to move out of the country, so Little Bit is back with us and looking for her forever home. Little Bit is a **very special little Chihuahua** who needs an adopter willing to understand and respect her boundaries. She can be incredibly cuddly—but it has to be on her terms. She will happily let you pet her with one hand, but she does not like being approached or touched with two hands. Because of this, picking her up can be challenging, and she may bite if she feels scared or trapped. She is kennel trained, but she also enjoys sleeping in bed with her person. She is potty trained and does well using a doggy door or potty pad. She gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats. Little Bit **requires another confident, friendly dog in the home**. Having a canine companion gives her comfort and confidence and helps her feel more secure in her surroundings. We are looking for an **adult-only home with Chihuahua experience** that understands her quirks and will give her the time, patience, and respect she needs to feel safe. A **securely fenced yard is required**, as Little Bit is not comfortable being leashed and you will not be able to safely put a leash on her. He loves exploring outside, checking out everything around him, and searching for the perfect stick to chew on. He can be easily distracted when there is something interesting to investigate, so he likes to do things at his own pace. Tate would love to have another playful dog in his forever home. After her owner moved into a nursing home, Loretta spent the next two years living at a shelter, sleeping in the office at night. Loretta is deaf and was thought to be unadoptable because she had never been outside, wouldn't walk on a leash, and wasn't comfortable with petting. But this little girl is full of surprises! As soon as she arrived at her foster home, she headed straight to the patio door and took herself outside. She allows her foster to pet and carry her, and although she is potty pad trained, she will also potty outside when given the opportunity. She is not comfortable on a leash so she must have a secure fence or just use potty pads inside. Loretta recently visited the vet and desperately needs a dental, which is scheduled for Monday. After everything she has been through, **Loretta deserves to be loved again.** ❤️ She deserves a soft bed, a safe home, gentle hands, and someone who will cherish her for the rest of her life. Senior dogs have so much love left to give, and Loretta deserves the chance to know what it feels like to truly belong to someone again.
