She doesn't meet a stranger, always happy to play, or just lay around close to you. She is a snuggly bug and will hog the couch or your lap. Story
Meet Cheto! Cheto is the kind of dog who makes a house feel peaceful. This sweet approximately 10-year-old (this is an estimate) brown Chihuahua weighs just 4.5 kilos and has the gentlest soul you could ask for. Cheto is being fostered in Toronto. Cheto is a little miracle. He was rescued while being attacked by several dogs, and it’s amazing he survived. If you’re looking for a calm, easy companion, Cheto is your guy. He has been so quiet that he hasn’t made a sound since arriving. He’d be perfectly suited to apartment living. His favourite activity is finding a spot beside you on the couch, where he’ll be asleep within minutes. Cheto enjoys leisurely walks and is wonderful on a leash. He doesn’t bark at people or other dogs, and he simply moseys along at his own pace. Right now he prefers doing his business in the backyard rather than on walks. Cheto is great with other dogs, although playing isn’t really his thing. He’s so gentle that he’d likely do well with respectful children, but he’d probably be happiest with an older couple or someone looking for a quieter companion, since he’s not a particularly active dog. Because he’s a small senior, he does need a little help getting around. He’ll need to be lifted into the car and onto the couch and carried up and down stairs. When you pick him up, he goes completely relaxed like a little sack of potatoes, so his person should be comfortable lifting him. Cheto has never been left alone for long, but whenever his people step out, he simply settles down and sleeps, so he’d likely be comfortable alone for at least a few hours. He’s one of those rare dogs who asks for very little. A soft place to nap, a gentle hand to pet him, and someone to love are all Cheto seems to need. In return, you’ll get the sweetest little shadow who will happily spend his days right beside you. ************* As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly. Check back often for details! An application for me can be found at www.justpaws.ca. Just Paws is located in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada. We do not adopt out of province or country. Please note that although many of our dogs get along with children, we are not able to adopt to any household with kids under the age of 8 years old. This is a stipulation of our insurance and is not a reflection on suitability of the potential adopter.

Story
AMORE IS STILL LOOKING FOR LOVE! 💕 How is our little Amore still single?! At approximately 2 years old and 13 lbs, Amore is the definition of amor-able. She loves nothing more than being close to her people, whether that means cuddling on the couch, burrowing under a blanket or snuggling in bed all night. She’s doing great with potty training and learning to walk on leash, and she’s showing us more and more of her silly, sweet personality every day. She loves other dogs, especially calmer ones, and she’s a pretty low-energy, easygoing little lovebug. Amore is sensitive and can be a little shy, so she needs someone patient and gentle who will let her take things at her own pace. And once she trusts you? Prepare to have your heart stolen. She’ll smile when she’s really excited, play with your hair, happily burrow into a cozy sweater and even suck on her little feet to comfort herself. Honestly, this girl is full of quirks and completely full of love. She may still be waiting for her happily ever after, but we’re hoping her forever family is out there somewhere. Because when it comes to Amore, there’s always room for a little more love. Who’s ready to make this love connection? ************* As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly. Check back often for details! Story
Meet Pocket! A tiny dog with a HUGE personality! Pocket may only weigh 2.2 kg, but he is convinced the world is his lap. And honestly, he’s not wrong. This adorable 1.5-year-old Chihuahua is being fostered in Toronto, and he is looking for the kind of home where “personal space” is more of a suggestion than a rule. Pocket doesn’t just want to be near his people. He wants to be ON his people. If you’re sitting down, he’ll find your lap. If you’re sleeping, he’ll happily sleep right on top of you. Consider yourself warned! Once he trusts you, Pocket absolutely adores his people and wants to be wherever you are. Whether you’re hanging out at home, running errands or heading off for the day, this little guy would love to be your constant companion. He’s affectionate, playful and happiest when he’s included in whatever you’re doing. At just 2.2 kg, he’s basically a tiny accessory with a HUGE personality! Pocket loves to run and play, and his ideal home would have a secure, fenced-in yard where he can zoom around off leash while his person supervises. However, this is not mandatory as he also enjoys short walks and does quite well on leash. Just don’t expect him to be impressed by a Canadian winter! Pocket loves dogs and has done well with dogs of different sizes. However, he also loves attention and can be a little bossy. Apparently, being 2.2 kg doesn’t mean you can’t be the boss! He’ll need the right canine companion, one whose personality is a good match for his. With the right dog, we think he could make a wonderful little buddy. Cats? Absolutely not! Pocket absolutely cannot be placed in a home with cats. This is a firm requirement for his future home. A little Chihuahua confidence: Pocket can be barky around strangers and needs to be approached appropriately. If he feels scared or unsure, he may growl to let you know he needs some space. His new family will need to understand his signals, respect his boundaries and give him time to warm up at his own pace. Once he feels safe and comfortable, you’ll get to see the sweet, affectionate little guy underneath all that Chihuahua confidence. Pocket could do well with teenagers who understand and are comfortable with typical Chihuahua behaviour and respect a dog’s boundaries. If you have younger children or grandchildren in your life, that’s okay too, provided interactions are carefully supervised, as they should be with any dog. We are recommending a home without children under 14. Pocket is reasonably house trained, but like any self-respecting Chihuahua, he sometimes seems to think the rules are optional! He does great with stairs and sleeps soundly through the night, preferably close to his favourite human. Pocket is a funny, affectionate, playful little character with plenty of love to give and just enough Chihuahua sass to keep life interesting. If you’re looking for a pocket-sized best friend who will happily claim your lap, your heart and probably your side of the bed, Pocket might just be your guy! ************* As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly.
