Story
Morti (short for Morticia) | Min Pin Mix Mix | Female | 1 year | 14lbs. | Fostered in Toronto | Morti is truly a very special, little girl. A youngster, this Min Pin mix is 1 year old, and weighs only 14 lbs. She is a beautiful girl with the sweetest disposition. It is difficult to understand how such a precious pup and another dog were found fending for themselves on the streets. When indoors, she stays close to her dog bed. She loves chew toys and treats. She is a work in progress. She is housebroken and gets along well with other dogs. She is a very timid dog and needs a patient adopter who will give her time to settle and get to know her. She will be a loyal companion to a special her special person. She has been sleeping in her foster's bed, has a quick cuddle, then sleeps soundly through the night. Morti loves the outside. When outside, she turns up her energy level and runs at top speed chasing any squirrels or birds who trespass into her yard. Morti enjoys taking in all the new smells outdoors but will need continued work on leash skills. What are Morti's needs? She needs a secure, fenced yard in which to run and play. She could happily be an only pup or be with another young, playful dog. It is unknown how she feels about cats. She would be fine with older, respectful children. Most importantly, she needs someone who is often home, someone who will enjoy her companionship and in time receiving the love she wants to give once she feels safe. If you are looking for a new family member who is sure to provide love, fun and loyalty, please consider Morti. Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Kongsoon Age: Around 2 years old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Chihuahua, Jindo mix Color: Brown Weight: 10kg / 22lbs Fully Vaccinated, Microchipped, and Dewormed.   MY RESCUE STORY Hi! I’m Kongsoon. I was rescued from a city pound where I was sadly placed on the euthanasia list because there wasn’t enough space. Luckily, kind rescuers saw my spirit and gave me a second chance at life! Now, I’m safe, healthy, and ready to find my forever home.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY When you meet me, you’ll notice just how charming I am! My face is a rare and adorable mix of a Jindo and a Chihuahua — a combination you don’t see every day! I’m a little shy at first, but with gentle encouragement, I warm up quickly. I also get along well with other dogs and enjoy making new furry friends.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m a little shy at first, but with some time and tasty treats, I quickly warm up and enjoy being petted. Once I trust you, I’ll happily show my belly — and you can even pick me up! · With Dogs: I’m friendly with dogs! I love meeting new furry friends, and playtime is one of my favorite parts of the day. I generally get along best with dogs bigger than me. · With Cats: I haven’t had much experience with cats yet, so my reaction is still unknown.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a high energy level and need plenty of playtime and walks outside before I can relax and settle indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I walk well on leash and follow my handler’s lead nicely. I don’t guard my food against people, but I can be sensitive around other dogs during mealtime and may growl to protect my space — separate feeding is recommended with multiple dogs. I can bark for attention or when meeting strangers, but I rest calmly in my kennel and prefer to potty outdoors. I do have some separation anxiety and, in the past, have chewed or had accidents when left alone. I’ll need guidance and patience as I adjust to my new family. I’m full of energy and love adventures, so it’s important I get plenty of exercise and playtime before being left alone.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me grow and become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A very active family that will provide me with plenty of outdoor walks and adventure! A family who understands my love for food and is patient in helping me feel comfortable eating around other dogs. A family that understands my initial shyness and provide me with gentle encouragement so I learn to become more confident.   SPECIAL NOTES I warm up quickly and absolutely adore people! I love snuggling with my foster family at night and showering them with kisses. I get along well with all dogs, though I need a little guidance around food — I don’t mind sharing treats, but I’m sensitive if other dogs approach my bowl during mealtime. I have a playful, mischievous side that keeps life fun and entertaining! While I usually rest calmly in my kennel, I’ve recently started a little game of sneaking away, showing off my cheeky personality. I’m a level 2 rescue dog, which means I’ll need a few days to settle in and may be a bit shy at first in my new home.   Kongsoon's YouTube Playlist   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2572827##
