PLEASE READ KINO’S BIO IN DETAIL TO ENSURE THAT HE WILL BE A GOOD FIT FOR YOU AND YOUR LIFESTYLE BEORE APPLYING. PEASE NOTE: KINO IS BEING FOSTERED IN THE OTTAWA AREA We at All Paws Matter believe in the benefits of post-adoption training for our dogs and their families. This allows for continued socialization, learning and helps to create a well-mannered and balanced dog. This is now a requirement in our adoption process. Proof of training classes for puppies specifically is required before adoption. NAME: Kino Age: 17 months Breed: Mexi-Mix Sex: Male Weight: 8.5 lbs Location: Ottawa Adoption fee: $600.00 Spayed/Neutered: Yes Leash trained: Work in progress House trained: Yes Kids/Cats/Dogs: Yes, dogs, cats unknown, children 6+ Vetting: Up to date on all vaccination, sterilized, microchipped, 4dx tested: negative for Heart worm. Currently on flea/tick/heart worm prevention, dewormed and vet checked before arriving. Medical Issues: None Comes with optional 4 weeks free pet insurance (after initial vet visit) Kino was abandoned on the streets of Mexico and was brought to our sister rescue SOS el Arca. He was vetted and taken care of in the shelter and brought to us here in Ontario. Through all of the trauma in his young life, Kino is a well adjusted gentle, affectionate loving little dog. He loves snuggling and curling up in your lap. He is a little shy with people at first, but with some gentle and calm attention he overcomes it quickly. Once he gets that trust with people he is very social and will cover them with kisses. Kino is fully house trained and crate trained. He likes his crate and goes in freely during the day for his little rests and is happy and calm there. He gets along well with the foster’s two dogs, a male and female with no issue. His foster feels kino should be an only dog because we feel he deserves all the attention he can get. He does live currently with two dog savvy cats and, on occasion he does chase them to play not hurt, so it would be at the discretion of the owner to work on proper introductions in the home. His ideal home would be one with a fully fenced secured yard where he could just have some running space to expend his energy. He could also live in apartment or condo, since he is very quiet. An adopter, who works from home or is home part of the day is important for Kino and someone who would spend time with him and take him with them whenever they could. He can live in a home with respectful children 6+ and he is happiest whenever he is near his people are and his desire to please you, makes him an ideal companion for anyone who understands and appreciates these wonderful attributes. If you feel you would be the right fit for Kino, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.allpawsmatter.ca/apply-to-adopt/ All APM dogs are UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered, dewormed, Heart worm (4dx snap) tested and arrive with a health certificate. They come to adopter with a harness, a collar and two leashes for safety. NOTE: The above description is relevant to this dog in its current and previous setting. Home changes and adopter personalities can bring out different behaviours not previously seen. We also do not claim or suggest that our dogs are hypo-allergenic or that they shed/do not shed. BREED DISCLAIMER: We are never sure of the breed of our dogs since they arrive off the streets or shelters. It is a guess only!

Story
Woof! 🐾 Hey there, I'm a bit of a shy pup when you first meet me. I'm like a cat—I need about 3-7 days to warm up and show you my true, adorable personality. But hey, patience is the key to our friendship! I absolutely love other dogs. I can't resist saying hi to each and every furry friend, and my cute face tends to win them over. I'm happiest in a home where I can play and interact with another doggy buddy—I'm quite dependent on their company. When it comes to my energy level, I'm just right—moderate is the way to go. I enjoy outdoor adventures, but indoors, I'm the picture of calm and contentment. Walks are a bit new to me, so if something startles me, I might just plop down and pretend I'm invisible. Sharing is caring, especially when it comes to treats and toys. I'm more than happy to share them with my doggy pals. I'm also crate-trained, so I know how to cozy up in my crate when needed. Whether it's indoor playtime or taking care of business outdoors, I'm ready to be the best companion you've ever had. Can't wait to charm my way into your heart! 🐶❤️ Rescue story: My mom gave birth to 6 puppies in a shelter. All of my siblings have found their forever homes and I think I’m ready to find THE ONE!! Good with dogs,
Story
Introducing the darling Jennifer, a petite 2-year-old Chihuahua-Jindo mix weighing in at a delightful 10 kilograms. This precious pup has quite the story to tell, having been rescued from a kill shelter alongside her precious puppies. Jennifer is what you might call a "people person" in the canine world. She adores meeting new friends and welcomes them with open paws, allowing even strangers to lavish her with pets and cuddles. In fact, she's quite the social butterfly and doesn't mind being carried around like the little queen she is. And oh, don't even get her started on belly rubs – she's practically an expert at melting hearts with her irresistible display of a soft, fluffy belly begging for attention. Having been a devoted mom to her puppies, Jennifer has learned the art of sharing and getting along swimmingly with dogs of all shapes and sizes. She's a true peacemaker, always opting for a calm and collected approach when there's a sniff of conflict in the air. Whether it's a boisterous playmate or a gentle giant, Jennifer is all about spreading harmony and love in the doggy world. When it comes to cats, Jennifer's curiosity might pique when she spots a stray feline on her walks. But fear not – her focus remains firmly on her trusted handler, ensuring that she stays on track and doesn't get too distracted by those mysterious creatures with whiskers. Now, Jennifer may tend to pull a bit on the leash when she's overcome with excitement on her adventures. But fear not, for she quickly settles down once she's had a chance to take in the sights and sounds of her surroundings. And as for those tear stains? Well, it seems that chicken might be the culprit, but a little TLC and a carefully tailored diet will have her sparkling like the gem she truly is. This charming canine companion is seeking a forever family who can shower her with plenty of love and affection, along with a dose of tranquillity to match her serene disposition. If you believe Jennifer is "the one" for you, please don't hesitate to reach out to her devoted team. She's ready to sprinkle your life with endless joy and puppy kisses! 🐾 To see more videos:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OhJGCgsllwY&list=PLIsLTtIpe3JxsglforEc1FTB9vABc7T-8

Story
This tiny little munchkin was dropped off at the shelter by his previous owner, who said something about him being 'possessed.' He was TERRIFIED at the shelter, didn't know what was happening to him and didn't want to cooperate with anyone there, and was almost immediately put on the list to be killed. Thankfully, a young girl who lives in the area saw a post for him on social media, and dragged her mother to the shelter to beg them to let her adopt him, as he'd been put into a 'Rescue Only' category and wasn't supposed to be given to just anyone who wanted to adopt him. The shelter took pity on the little guy and let the girl and her mom adopt him anyway. They've had him since the end of March, and have learned 3 important things about him: 1) he is VERY SWEET, and needy for affection; 2) he seems mostly blind, or at least doesn't see well and needs help navigating new surroundings; and 3) he does NOT like being left alone. Unfortunately the members of this family spend much of the day at work and school, and this little nugget is having a very hard time coping. We're hoping to find a loving family with at least one member who is home most of the time -- a retiree would be perfect, as long as that person can still bend down to scoop him up without difficulty because this little man is happiest on a lap or in someone's arms.He seems to have a strong dislike for the leash, or he's never really been on one before, because he had an enormous reaction at the shelter when they tried to put one on him. He lost his mind and started alligator-rolling out of sheer terror. Because they have a fenced-in back yard, his fosters haven't tried leashing him since they brought him home, not wanting to further add to his stress. As he settles in and starts to feel more and more safe, we'll try reintroducing him to this essential feature of domestic canine life, and look forward to reporting positive progress. He's still so fresh from his recent hardships that for now, we're just letting him relax and and get his bearings. If you're interested in adopting Walli, please fill out an application found on our website or Facebook page.Name: WalliWeight: ~8 PoundsGender: MaleBreed: ChihuahuaColour: Fawn & whiteMedical (past and present) & HW Status: Healthy, HW negFixed: Soon!Good with adults: YesGood with kids: YesGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: UnknownHouse trained: Seems to be!Crate trained: YesCrate aggressive: No Food aggressive: NoLeash trained: NoEnergy level: Low to mediumSuitable for an apartment: YesCan be handled: YesBarker: No
