Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Blossom 1 year, spayed female, 19 lbs Corgi/Chihuahua mix (best guesss) LIKES: Blossom loves following her people around, chewing on her toys, playing with her foster dog siblings (specifically the older cattle dog/pit mix), snuggling, and burrowing under blankies. She likes to give the 7 and 12 year old kiddos in her foster house kisses. DISLIKES: Being picked up, new experiences/people, and riding in the car can be triggering to Blossom’s anxiety. Blossom will need a patient hand to continue gently introducing her to the “scary” situations in her life. PERSONALITY TRAITS: Miss Blossom is such a friendly and cuddly pup! She is in love with her cattle dog/pittie mix foster sister and will pester her with friendship and kisses until she plays with her. One unique thing about Blossom is that she doesn’t really bark, but instead “chirp-barks.” POTTY TRAINING STATUS: Blossom is potty trained with occasional accidents if it’s cold or rainy outside. Blossom is a bit of a nervous piddler and experiences like meeting new friends or being picked up may be best either outside or on a hard floor that can be quickly wiped. CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Zero star rating from Blossom. She eats her meals in her kennel but doesn’t like to be locked in it. OTHER/MISC: Blossom is a 5 star climber and chewer, so a sturdy plastic kennel is needed instead of a wire one as she will chew any wire/wood to get out. She is also a fantastic bouncer and can hop right over baby gates with ease. Blossom will need a home with another playful dog to help build her confidence and use up some of her playful energy. To further inquire about BLOSSOM, submit an application. Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how BLOSSOM will mesh with your lifestyle. Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet. Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family. Submitting an application does not guarantee a call or response from our rescue. Our volunteers will screen the applications and reach out if it is determined to be a good fit. We look forward to facilitating a positive and solid adoption for BLOSSOM, as well as her future family. *Fostered in Eugene/Springfield, OR ADOPTION APP: https://wigglytails.org/adoption-application/ ‍ ##2681915##

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Sanford Moonbeam (aka Sam) 4 years, neutered male, 14 lbs Chihuahua mix LIKES: Running and playing in fenced yard, playing with toys and sitting on his person's lap. DISLIKES: Fast moving things like bicycles, runners and cats PERSONALITY TRAITS: Sam is very affectionate and engaging with people. He is a sweet loving boy with moderate energy. He is a very playfully happy little guy, but has a little anxiety around new dogs. He lived unhoused and learned some street smarts that will need some training to overcome. POTTY TRAINING: Fully potty trained. CRATE TRAINING: He stays in an X-pen when unsupervised with an open crate at his foster home. He will go in closed crate with no issues. OTHER/MISC: Sam, as he is called by his foster is a very sweet boy that would benefit from more positive training and exposure to the things he is reactive to. He would be good as the only pet or with another dog with slow introduction. No cats. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Mouse3 year, spayed female, 10 lbsChihuahua mix PERSONALITY TRAITS: The first impression of Mouse is that she is nervous. She has had a tough time, so understandably she is on her guard with new people. However, with patience, kindness, and lots of treats, her loving and playful side shines through. Mouse is a smart little cookie, quick to learn when treats are involved. She shows no aggression and has a lot of love to give. LIKES: Food. Mouse is very food-motivated which really helps with positive reinforcement training. She loves hanging out on the sofa with her person, her foster sister, wandering around in the yard, and did we mention, food! DISLIKES: Wearing a leash, being approached too quickly, uninvited petting POTTY TRAINING STATUS: She is house-trained and just needs to be let outside on a regular routine. CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Yes. Mouse really likes her crate and hangs out in it sometimes during the day and sleeps in it at night. EXTRAS/MISC: Mouse was rescued after being abandoned and tied to a bus-stop, so she does not like the leash. She needs a home with a fenced yard for exercise. With training she may be able to go out on walks, but it would likely take lots of positive encouragement. To further inquire about MOUSE, submit an application. Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how MOUSE will mesh with your lifestyle.
