Story
Sas (short for Sassafras) 9 yrs, neutered male, 15 lbs   LIKES: This sweet boy is very shy and skittish at first. But be patient, his snuggles and kisses are worth the wait! He loves walks and treats!    DISLIKES: Sudden movements, loud noises and being picked up.    PERSONALITY TRAITS: Once he trusts you he’ll follow you around and sit nearer and nearer until he feels safe to cuddle on your lap. This may take a week or more in a new environment. He loves little neck scratches and rubs, and he’ll reward you with a sweet smile and smirk!    POTTY TRAINING STATUS: No accidents in foster home. Sleeps through the night. He will scratch at back door or scratch at your foot to be let out. He used a doggy door in his previous home.    CRATE TRAINING STATUS: He is not a fan, and will whine and cry. He prefers to sleep at the bottom of the bed on top of the covers.   EXTRAS/MISC: He has some vision loss, and has some difficulty with low light or no light areas at night. He will not follow you if it’s too dark. At his foster home, a night light in hall helped him to feel comfortable enough. He would do well in home with older kids. He gets along with other dogs of varying size. Unknown with cats, but no observed prey drive. Occasional barker, usually when resident dogs bark first. We were told that when left outside unsupervised he may try to dig out to explore. So he needs secure backyard and should be supervised when outside. Sas came to us because his owner passed and he is looking for a comfy new home.   To further inquire about SAS, submit an application. https://www.wigglytails.org/adoption-application   Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how SAS will mesh with your lifestyle. Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet.   Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family. Submitting an application does not guarantee a call or response from our rescue. Our volunteers will screen the applications and reach out if it is determined to be a good fit.   We look forward to facilitating a positive and solid adoption for SAS as well as his future family.   *Fostered in Eugene/Springfield, Oregon   https://www.wigglytails.org/adoption-application Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with information about the next steps and setting up a Meet and Greet. Story
Odin 7 mos, neutered male, 12 lbs Chihuahua Pug mix   LIKES: Going on a couple daily walks. Odin is a Velcro dog who enjoys being with his person whenever possible. He enjoys chew toys especially bones but he will play fetch indoors or outdoors.    DISLIKES: Odin doesn't like to be in a crate, and is vocal but calms down after you leave. He doesn't like to be in the yard unless someone is with him.   PERSONALITY TRAITS: Odin is a friendly, bouncy, playful, sweet, loving, Velcro pup that is treat motivated and learns quick.   POTTY TRAINING STATUS: He is doing well in his foster home with regular opportunities to go outside.   CRATE TRAINING STATUS: He would rather sleep/be with you. But he is crated when left unsupervised in his foster home, and he calms down when his person leaves.   EXTRAS/MISC.: He is a playful and athletic and his foster suspects he has a sighthound in his family tree. He has shown a tendency to be opportunistic at open doors and will need to be supervised and work on open door training. An active puppy, Odin needs someone who is ready to keep up with him.    To further inquire about ODIN, submit an application. https://www.wigglytails.org/adoption-application   Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how ODIN will mesh with your lifestyle. Story
This SWEET LITTER of pups are 9 week old Terrier mixes. They are true mutts and based on their current size and age we are guessing they will be medium-sized dogs. They have been raised by their mom, Cupcake (available soon) and handled in a foster home which has given them a good start on being social with people and other dogs.   They sleep in an X-pen together and use potty-pads in there. Trips to potty outside have begun, but it's a big rainy world out there and they may need more convincing and practice before they are fully trained.   Macaron (beige with black muzzle): This sweet boy is very shy at first, but it comes around quickly and it’s very playful and fun       Ganache (brindle): She likes playing with her littermates and other dogs, and she loves toys and people   Donut (white): She can be a little timid at first, but after she warms up, this sweet girl is playful and cuddly   Nougat (white): He is the most outgoing, and he's a fun guy that likes everyone and everything so far   Truffle (brindle): She is a balanced pup, and loves playing with toys and with other puppies and dogs   To further inquire about a SWEET LITTER pup, submit an application.   ADOPTION APP: https://wigglytails.org/adoption-application/   Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how they will mesh with your lifestyle.
