Story
Blondie was found as an older puppy and is now estimated to be one year old. She was taken in by a nice lady living next to Smith Lake in Alabama. She has a pack of small dogs and a few cats in her home and now Blondie who is much larger than the animals currently living there. Blondie is good with her dogs, cats and grandchildren. However, Blondie needs a home that is not already full of dogs and cats and there would be more room for her to get the attention she loves. Please consider giving Blondie a loving home, not so full so she can have alittle more one on one time. RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Please visit us on Facebook: Rebecca's Paws and Claws in Remlap and our website: www.rpacirescue.org. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the New England area and delivered in RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog. To get a application please go to: saveapreciouspaw@gmail.com

Story
Corbitt Newberry is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home! Meet Corbitt, a 6-month-old blonde feist mix with a calm, sweet, and shy demeanor. While he's better suited for homes with older kids and isn't a huge fan of little ones, he's playful and silly, especially when it comes to rope toys. Corbitt had a rough start, having been hit by a car and sustaining pelvic damage. However, he has healed well, and it doesn't impact him much, though he does have a bit of a crooked walk. If you're looking for a loving and playful companion with a unique charm, Corbitt could be the perfect match for you! If you are interested in adopting this dog please complete the adoption application at www.rhodehomerescue.org/adoption-form to become a pre-approved adopter. If you were already approved through Rhode Home Rescue within the last 6 months, contact us today! Be sure to check our Facebook page "Rhode Home Rescue" for details on upcoming events and other announcements.

Story
Hey Y'all, My name is D'Angela. I am a Feist. Feists are loyal, fun, and full of life. We are bred as hunting dogs for squirrels, rabbits, and other rodents. We do not get very big. I am almost finished growing. When I am finished I will weigh around 22 lbs. The perfect size to snuggle with in bed, sit in a recliner and watch TV, go on road trips, and anywhere you want me to go.I am very shy when I first meet you. I need a family who is patient in the beginning. But, I warm up quickly the faster I trust you. My foster mom has other puppy/ dog orphans, cats/ kittens. horses and even chickens. My foster mom has to keep me away from the chickens for I am very interested in chasing them.I came into rescue on 10/09/2023 at the age of 9 weeks old. Today I am 5 months old, all my vaccines, spayed on heartworm prevention and ready to go. Please request an application to start my adoption process. Adoption Donation   $ 499               Located:    RI     (Transportation costs included to the Northeast , plz ask for more details )    Age: approx    1-2  years old     Weight: 24.8  lbs Dexter was found along with her friends on the side of the road in MS. He is a sweet boy who loves his people. He doesnt like hyper dogs and does best with low key dogs. He has been waiting for so long for a family!  If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information:  dcrow1369@gmail.com Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save lives from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.     Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt. If you feel comfortable that the animal is a good fit for your home, at this point, you would submit a sum of $200 as a partial payment of the adoption fee as we process your application. From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit. If you are not approved to adopt, any payment sent to us would be promptly returned in full. At this point, we will remove the animal from our adoption sites and hold the animal for you while we check your references. If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) reserves the right to deny any adoption application with or without disclosure of cause. Your adoption fee helps to cover the cost of all age appropriate vetting and transportation. FOHARI.ORG makes no explicit or implicit guarantees in reference to the health, temperament and/or the breed of the animal. The animal is adopted ‘as is’, and the adopter assumes all responsibility for treatment of any and all existing conditions or any other conditions of physical or temperament changes that may occur. FOHARI.ORG will provide the animal with the basic vaccines, heart worm test and sterilization of dogs and cats before adoption if the age and current health of the animal permits. While FOHARI.ORG makes every effort to place only healthy animals, FOHARI.ORG cannot guarantee the health of any animal, and shall not be held responsible for any medical expenses that may be incurred. Rescuer will provide information received from the veterinarian exam, observations on the temperament of the animal and a best guess of the breed. Friends of Homeless Animals Inc.
