Adoption Donation   $   599 Located: in KY (Transportation costs included to the Northeast , plz ask for more details) Age: approx 2 yo Weight:19 lbs   Addie Rose is looking for a calm, quiet home where she can continue to blossom at her own pace. She would do best in a peaceful environment, ideally with another friendly dog to help show her the ropes and build her confidence. Addie is learning to trust humans and discovering what it means to live in a loving home. She is not aggressive at all — just shy and still figuring things out. With patience, kindness, and consistency, she will continue to grow and shine. Adoption Donation   $ 599 Located:  RI  (Transportation costs included to the Northeast , plz ask for more details) Age: approx 1 year old Weight:  27 lbs.   Found as a stray in Mississippi, emaciated and no owner looking for her. Gypsy has since gained several pounds and is a healthy happy energetic pooch! She currently weighs 29 lbs. and is not expected to do much more growing. Although she is a year old, she is still very much a puppy.  She will need some basic obedience training; however, she is very food motivated and eager to please. Her temperament is fabulous. She is kid and dog friendly. She can be jumpy and mouthy at times so no small children. She loves to play and pounce on other dogs so she would need a buddy who also wants to play. She does like her crate, and we have been utilizing it for housetraining. She is doing very well once in a consistent routine. She is very curious about absolutely everything and if left to roam around the house she will find trouble so her new family will need to stay on top of her training. Gypsy will be a fabulous addition to anyone looking for a beautiful, healthy, smart, and energetic young dog.   If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information:  kyleallyn1112@yahoo.com  Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. Adoption Donation  $ 599 Located: RI (Transportation costs included to the Northeast , plz ask for more details) Age: approx. 2 years old Weight: 30  lbs.   Meet Lucinda! She's the most gorgeous brindle Feist, around two years old, and she was hanging around under someone's porch in Mississippi but would run whenever she saw a human being. Thank goodness one of our awesome southern rescuers was able to trap Lucinda, and after just a few days in foster care she has firmly become an indoor dog. Lucinda is loving the comfort, yummy food, attention, and affection she's getting and is spending her days relaxing in a sunbeam, prowling the backyard for squirrels, and showing her love and gratitude to her foster family. Lucinda is gentle, mild mannered, super sweet and actually smaller than she appears in pictures at 27 pounds. She was treated for heartworm in the south, and thank goodness has fully recovered, and is a happy, healthy girl. Story
Adoption Donation   $599 Located: RI   Age: 1 yr old 45 lbs   Meet Dip N Dot!  AKA Dippy (or "Dip" for short) is a well-rounded and curious girl who loves to explore her surroundings and learn new things. She’s currently mastering her basic commands like sit, lay down, and come, and she's making steady progress with her potty training. As with most young dogs, Dippy is still a bit mouthy due to her baby teeth, but give her the right toys and attention, and she settles in just fine. She loves food and treats, which makes training easier and fun! Dippy is full of playful energy and would thrive in a home that can give her plenty of physical and mental stimulation. She’s still learning not to jump up on people, so a home without very young children would be best for now. With continued training, that behavior should improve quickly. She’s been living with her brother and enjoys canine company, though she may need a patient dog companion—she hasn’t quite learned the concept of personal space yet! Dippy is shy when meeting new people, but once she warms up, her vibrant and affectionate personality really shines. Whether you're looking for a sweet, smart, and slightly goofy pup to grow with your family or a fun companion for your current dog, Dippy is ready to win your heart.     *** As part of the adoption donation this pup will participate in FOA's spay/neuter program or other programs available through FOHA. All puppies will have age appropriate vaccinations.  All small Pups need to be adopted by by children old enough to understand how to be respectful and gentle in handling a small young pup. ***     If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website   www.fohari.org and email my foster parent for more information:  wideye13@yahoo.com Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save lives from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.       Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. Meet Brownie & Cupcake – Tiny, Sweet, and Ready for Love! Adoption Fee: $549 Adoption Application - Copy & Paste https://forms.gle/FmtRtYxQNnemdkdw9 Meet the sweetest little duo around! Brownie (boy) and Cupcake (girl) are precious Chihuahua mix puppies born on December 20th. Their mama, Cookie, weighs only 15 pounds, and while we don’t know who dad was, we expect these babies to stay small — definitely under 25 pounds full grown. Right now, they’re just 3½–4 pounds of pure sweetness! They’re playful, cuddly, and full of that irresistible puppy charm. They love to snuggle up after playtime and would make wonderful companions for someone looking for a small-breed pup to grow up with. Their mama Cookie is about 7 years old and as sweet as can be — she mostly just wants to sit with her person and soak up love. If you’ve been thinking about adopting more than one, they can be adopted together… and yes, mom Cookie is also available if someone has room in their heart for a ready-made little family. These tiny pups won’t stay available long — they’re as precious as they come! If you’re looking for a small, loving companion (or maybe two!), Brownie and Cupcake are ready to wiggle their way into your heart. Here's the adoption application, please copy & paste. https://forms.gle/FmtRtYxQNnemdkdw9 **To see all of our pets available for adoption, please copy &paste this link. https://www.adoptapet.com/pet-search?radius=50&postalCode=02919&awos[0]=165123&filterMode=all Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue adopts in the New England area. Story
Meet Prudence! 😍🐾 She’s a 4 month old chihuahua/poodle mix with the softest little curls and the most soulful, puppy-dog eyes that will absolutely melt your heart. Her fluffy black coat is perfectly accented by a wispy splash of white on her chest, and her loose, tousled curls give her that irresistible “just rolled out of bed cute” look. She’s petite, precious, and full of personality. Prudence is incredibly affectionate and lives for snuggle time. If you sit down, she’s in your lap. If you lay down, she’s tucked right under your chin. She bonds quickly with her people and loves being included in everything, whether it’s playtime in the yard or relaxing on the couch. She’s playful and curious, with just the right amount of puppy energy, but she settles beautifully and enjoys quiet cuddle sessions just as much. She does well with kids, cats, and other dogs, making her a wonderful addition to just about any home. She’s smart, eager to please, and already making great progress with crate training and housetraining. Whether he's chasing toys, getting his zoomies on, or curling up for a cuddle session, Jerry’s enthusiasm is absolutely infectious. His playful spirit and adventurous nature make every day an exciting one! Jerry is well on his way to becoming the best pup he can be.
