WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org 🌋🐾 Meet Pacaya — Adventure Enthusiast, Water Lover & Certified Good Girl 🐾🌋 Hi! I’m Pacaya, an athletic, happy, and downright charismatic girl with a heart full of joy and paws made for exploring. I’m friendly, engaging and I has got a gorgeous coat that goes from a warm tan to a rich red when the sun hits me just right. I'm always ready for the next adventure — especially if it involves hiking, swimming and exploring(yes, I take the scenic route whenever possible). If you love the outdoors, we’re already best friends. Trails? I’m in. Lakes? I’m already splashing. Hills? I’ll meet you at the top, tail wagging proudly. I thrive with an active person or family who enjoys getting out and doing things — I make an excellent hiking buddy, jogging partner, or “let’s-see-what’s-over-there” companion. But don’t let my athletic side fool you — once the adventure is done, I’m all about the wind-down life. Belly rubs, ear scratches, lounging with my people and giving the best hugs are absolute perfection. I’m not wild or frantic — just a well-balanced girl who knows when to go full throttle and when to relax like a pro. 🐾 Pacaya at a Glance: ✔️ ~2 years old, ~40 lbs of happy athletic energy ✔️ Friendly, confident, and full of personality ✔️ Loves hiking, swimming, and climbing ✔️ Great with other dogs ✔️ House trained and well-mannered ✔️ Smart, attentive, and eager to engage with her people A quick note from management: while I adore dogs and humans, cats and chickens are not on my guest list. (Nothing personal — just best to admire them from afar.) I bring joy into every space I enter, communicate with my bright eyes and expressive personality, and truly enjoy being part of a family. I pay attention, listen well, and love being involved in whatever my humans are doing — especially if it ends with a nap under the fan. If you’re searching for an active, loving, adventurous companion who’s equal parts fun and affectionate, I might just be your perfect match. 🌟 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Pacaya lead you into your next great adventure! 🐾💛

Story
Meet Lissy, the runt of her litter and the smartest! When she and her siblings need to be given medicine, she hangs back, when it's time for cuddles, she's the first to arrive, haha. She's learning to walk on a leash, and is usually very active, playful with dogs, cats, and although she's a little shy at first with people, she adapts very well to new environments in a short time. She will be a medium/large size, since she was always the smallest. She loves to look out the window at everything that happens, and if she has a playmate she could spend the whole afternoon playing. She likes balls and rope toys. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Story
Hi… I’m Ttoro 💛 I’m a 2-year-old boy, a tiny Chihuahua weighing just 3kg. I may be small, but I have a big heart—especially for my person. I was rescued just before it was too late, and for the past 6 months, I’ve been living in a foster home where I’ve learned what love feels like. Because of that, I’ve grown very attached to my person. I do like people… I really do. But sometimes, if someone I don’t know suddenly tries to touch me, I can get scared and react. It’s not because I’m mean— it’s because I’m trying to protect myself… and the person I love. The good news is, I’ve already been working on this, and I’ve gotten much calmer and better. If you give me a little time and don’t rush me, I’ll start to understand that I’m safe with you too. I get along okay with other dogs, but when it comes to food… I can be a little sensitive. Sometimes I worry someone might take it, so I might grumble a bit. (But if the other dog is bigger than me… I suddenly become very polite 😅) More than anything, I bond deeply with one person. And when I do, I want to stay close and protect them. That’s why I’m looking for someone who can love me in a calm and steady way— not too overwhelming, not too fast. Someone who will respect my space at first, let me come closer on my own, and gently show me the world is a safe place. If you understand small dogs like me—especially Chihuahuas— you’ll know that we love deeply, we just need trust to grow first. The good thing is… I’ve already lived in a home before. So I think I can adjust again pretty well, especially if you’re patient with me. I may be a little shy in the beginning, but once I choose you… I’ll be your tiny shadow, your loyal little guardian, your forever companion. Will you be my person? 💛

Story
Hi… my name is Kkamang 🖤 I’m a 1 year and 6 month old Chihuahua mix boy, just 5kg (11 lbs) — small enough to fit in your arms, and hoping to fit in your heart too. I was rescued from a dog meat farm. Since the day I was born, I didn’t know what it felt like to have someone call my name. No warm arms. No soft whispers. I wasn’t a “someone” — I was just… there. Inside a metal cage, each day wasn’t about learning. It was about enduring. I learned how to be quiet. How to wait. How to survive. So when I first meet someone new, I pause for a moment. It doesn’t mean “go away.” It means, “Is it really safe this time?” But if you offer me a gentle voice… a small treat… a little patience, my tiny wall falls very quickly. Because the truth is — I like people. I always have. Once I know you, I’m much more affectionate than you’d expect. I’ll press my little body right next to you, sit close, and look into your eyes as if I’m asking for love. No one ever taught me how to be loved, but somehow, I know how to want it. I get along quietly and peacefully with other dogs too. I don’t cause trouble. I know how to share space and not feel lonely. Home life, though… that will be new for me. A house. Daily routines. Rules about where to potty. Time spent alone. I may make mistakes. I may be clumsy at first. But those moments won’t be because I’m lacking — they’ll simply be signs of a life I was never given the chance to learn. Please wait for me. Please teach me slowly. If you do, I will trust you with my whole heart. I will become a deeply loving, loyal little family member who believes completely in my person. I was born just to survive. Now, I want to live. I want a life where I don’t fear being sent back to a cage. A life where I don’t worry about being abandoned again. A life where someone calls my name every day. That’s why I’m looking for a family who will be patient as I learn home life step by step, who will use gentle voices instead of force, and who will promise that I will never return to a cage again. Will you be my very first family? Please let the rest of my life be remembered not for sadness — but for love. 🖤🐾
