I’m Pacaya, an athletic, happy, and downright charismatic girl with a heart full of joy and paws made for exploring. I’m friendly, engaging and I has got a gorgeous coat that goes from a warm tan to a rich red when the sun hits me just right. I'm always ready for the next adventure — especially if it involves hiking, swimming and exploring(yes, I take the scenic route whenever possible). If you love the outdoors, we’re already best friends. Trails? I’m in. Lakes? I’m already splashing. Hills? I’ll meet you at the top, tail wagging proudly. I thrive with an active person or family who enjoys getting out and doing things — I make an excellent hiking buddy, jogging partner, or “let’s-see-what’s-over-there” companion. But don’t let my athletic side fool you — once the adventure is done, I’m all about the wind-down life. Belly rubs, ear scratches, lounging with my people and giving the best hugs are absolute perfection. Meet Lissy, the runt of her litter and the smartest! When she and her siblings need to be given medicine, she hangs back, when it's time for cuddles, she's the first to arrive, haha. She's learning to walk on a leash, and is usually very active, playful with dogs, cats, and although she's a little shy at first with people, she adapts very well to new environments in a short time. She will be a medium/large size, since she was always the smallest. She loves to look out the window at everything that happens, and if she has a playmate she could spend the whole afternoon playing. She has a soft, sensitive temperament and is smart and eager to please. About Annie • Gentle, affectionate, and loves to snuggle • Gets along well with the dog in her foster home • Very smart — already knows sit, go to crate, and mastering recall • Eager to please and watches closely to learn • Crate trained and settles in nicely • Walks easily and calmly on leash. She needs at least 2 walks a day. • Not a chewer — respectful in the home • Enjoys being part of the family, but especially loves her person • Annie has a lot of energy and will need a home with a fenced backyard. Annie was rescued from a canal and is still building confidence. She can be easily startled and may run when frightened. She also experiences some separation anxiety and sleeps best in her crate in the same room as her person. She will do best in a calm home that can provide consistency, patience, and reassurance. She is a very sweet girl looking for a forever home where she can feel safe, wanted, and loved. Annie is spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on her DHPP, Rabies and Bordetella vaccines. Story
Bernie was rescued in the nick of time from a shelter in Los Angeles mere hours before being euthanized. After being fostered for a month in LA he came to Renton. In only 3 months with us Bernie has shown us despite weighing 14 pounds he has a larger than life lovable and strong personality. Bernie is estimated to be about 8 years old and was neutered before coming to Seattle in December. He’s house trained and does well on a leash. He loves to play fetch and frisbee and can tag along for long walks no problem. Once he gets to know you, He loves to be in your lap and will spend as much time with you as he can. He loves pets, belly rubs, and playing tug-of-war with toys. Sadly we don’t know much about the first 8 years of Bernie’s life, but it’s clear he has a wariness of new people and feels protective of his spaces. Bernie would do best with an adult only home, possibly with other small dogs to help show him how to be at ease. Recommended behavioral training or experienced owners.
