Meet adorable puppy Morgan. She is a female 4–5-month-old Flat-Coated Retriever Mix. Morgan was rescued from the terrible streets of Tijuana. We work and help fund, vet and help dogs in need no matter where they are born. Morgan is as sweet as they come. She gets along great with all dogs. She is a young puppy so continued basic training and socialization is a must just like with any young pup. She if fully vetted and current on all vaccines. She is healthy and has the most beautiful shiny coat. Morgan will make a great family companion to a committed family or person who will love her and make her part of their family. She does fairly well on leash, and we are working on crate training. Nash is a special "rescue only" dog who has bite experiences.  He will not be available until we have been able to work with him and feel comfortable in him meeting experienced adults. This posting is FYI only - He is 6 years young and 55 lbs. He has boundaries, but he's a fun-loving dog.  He cues when he's annoyed, so learning his cues and working patiently with him will alleviate a lot of prior behaviors.   He gets along well with other dogs [some don't get along with him, but he's been fine with them], and let's our volunteers cut his nails without a fuss.   NO APPOINTMENTS at this time. He did get along well with Maverick here, who was 20 pounds bigger than Nash. We also spend time socializing. Furthermore, unlike shelters, rescues do not get financial aid from the government and must rely on donations, grants, and adoption fees. Our fees for adults start at $150 and usually go up to $750. Young adults that are high in demand may be a little over $750.00. For puppies and purebreds, we charge up to $1000. The lower end is for dogs who have been here a while. The good news is that, because rescues fall under the "charity" category, the fees for our dogs are officially donations and are therefore tax deductible. 4 years old, @35 lbs. House trained, good with dogs. Very good on a leash. Kenny is shy and needs more socializing and patience. He warms up with attention. And he loves to run and play. He came with a female 7 yr old Labrador who he was good friends with. He was more confident with her around, so he may do best with a dog pal in a new home. The previous owners said he is good with cats.
