Story
Introducing Cassia, who seems to prefer the name Stella. She is a flat-coat retriever mix, solid black with a subtle white spot on her chest. She’s 55 pounds at 11 months old , tall with long legs. And she is a total sweetheart.  She has had a hard life so far but is ready for all the love she deserves. Life as a stray and in shelters has left her very timid. It takes her longer to accept new people and feel at ease in new environments. But once she decides someone is safe, she gives all her love. She adores her people and seems to think she’s a lap dog.  But even at nearly a year old, she is very much a puppy, and an untrained one at that. She must have an adopter who will be patient with her, and get her the training she needs to succeed. She’s eager to learn and wants to please. She has been very good with her house training and had very few accidents. She loves her kennel and sleeps quietly all night after a protest or two. She walks well on leash except when startled by something unexpected. She loves cats and plays gently with them. She has so far been reluctant to engage with our four rowdy dogs. But she lived with 20 dogs at one time. She will need a fenced yard to do zoomies in, and she must be on a secure leash when not in a secure yard. Traffic noise will spook her, especially sirens. But with patience and love, she can overcome her fears and live her best life. She has lots of love to give. Story
Meet The Bear pups! If you have seen the show, The Bear, Carmy is the most like her namesake. She is wild and unpredictable. She is definitely the most chompy and doesn't care in the slightest. She has the shortest hair and is the tiniest lady. The Bear pups are typical pups that go wild for food. They play well, but sometimes are rough with each other and desperately want to play with the cat in the home. They enjoy playing with their toys and the big dogs in the home as well. In general The Bear puppies are getting better at being in the kennel but require further crate training. They love to be with people and are snuggle bugs! Like typical puppies they are working on potty training and they are getting better about not going in the kennel. The Bear puppies are not picky with what they chew (drywall, carpet, cords, furniture all included) and need proper training and supervision. All puppies will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, and UTD on vaccinations. Adoption fee is $360. Please go to www.pawpatroldayton.com/adopt to fill out an application. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.

Story
Are you an Orville, looking for your Wilbur!? Look no further, my friend. Meet Mr. Wilbur- whom we believe to be around 8 years old and a Lab Retriever.Wilbur is a laid back sort of guy. Nothing seems to bother him, not even all the cats in his current foster home.Wilbur loves to take walks and get baths- but not as much as he loves food-this guy will keep a close eye on you as you eat and gladly clean up any crumbs! We would definitely recommend a slow feeder for this hungry boy!Wilbur is a great companion and will make sure to protect you against strangers! Wilbur is not afraid to use his voice. He will absolutely make his new owner feel very protected and safe. If you are ready to take flight and find your next best friend, then come meet Wilbur! You may apply to adopt Wilbur at www.pawpatroldayton.com/adopt. Their adoption fee is $150 and is vaccinated, heartworm tested, microchipped and neutered. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.
