Story
Hello! My name is Drake, and I’m a 12-year-old red Golden Retriever with a soft heart and a love for everything that feels like family. At 95 pounds, I may be a senior, but I still light up when it’s time for walks, treats, or just being told I’m a “good boy.” My brother Jethro and I have been together since puppyhood. He’s my partner in crime, my protector, and my comfort. We’ve always lived indoors, with the run of the house during the day and a safe spot to sleep at night. I’m house trained and leash trained, though like Jethro, I’ll bark and pull if I see other dogs. Cats and kids are a bit of a mystery to me—we just haven’t been around them. I’m also a great car companion. Our family used to travel often, and I learned how to relax and enjoy the ride. At home, I’m well-mannered, polite, and very eager to please. What I love most is being with people who will give me attention, love, and the occasional snack. Since our mom passed away earlier this year, Jethro and I have leaned on each other even more. We’re protective of one another, and we need to stay together—it’s the only way we know how to live. If you have room in your heart and home for two gentle, loyal seniors, we promise to bring love, companionship, and a bond that will inspire you every day.

Story
Hi there, I’m Oliver—a 10-year-old, 70-pound Black Lab/Retriever mix with a heart full of love. I may be a senior, but I still have plenty of pep for long walks, games of fetch, and snuggles on the couch. I’m an easygoing guy. I’m used to having the run of the house and I can stay home alone during a normal workday without any issues. At night, I settle down on my dog bed like the gentleman I am. I’m house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. I walk well on a leash, loose-leash almost always, although I can’t resist giving a little pull if I catch a really interesting scent and I can be leash reactive when I encounter other dogs. I love people, especially kids—they bring out my playful side. I had a cat-sister in my previous home and am living with a cat-brother in my current foster home. Treats are my weakness (what can I say, I am a lab)! I currently eat a fish-based diet (but any non-chicken food will do— I'm allergic). And not to brag, but I am pretty smart. At last count I knew 40 plus different phrases and some hand signals to boot! What I really enjoy most are the simple things: walks, a good game of fetch, and plenty of snuggle time. I’m wonderfully chill when it’s time to relax, and I’m a total sweetheart at heart. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will bring both joy and calm to your home, I might just be your perfect match.

Story
Hi, I’m Leo! I’m a 10-year-old, 60-pound Retriever/Black Lab mix, and I like to think of myself as the perfect blend of gentle, playful, and chill. I’ve been through some things in my early life—probably some neglect—and that’s made me extra grateful for kindness, good food, and the comfort of a loving home. These days, I’m all about the good life: two long walks a day (at least 30–40 minutes each, please!), playing fetch, lounging in the backyard on sunny days, and curling up on my dog bed in my human’s bedroom at night. I’m leash trained, house trained, and a gentleman in the car. I’m friendly with dogs and children, though I do best with calmer energy—very young kids or bouncy young dogs can be a bit much for me. I’ve lived with a cat before, but that was a long time ago and I will probably need some retraining. If I see a cat outside, I might try to chase it. I’m food motivated, quiet, and gentle, and I love being around people in a calm, steady environment. I don’t like to be alone for long stretches, so I’m hoping for a home where my people are around most of the time and enjoy getting outside with me. If you’re looking for a loyal walking buddy, sunbathing partner, and best friend, I’m your guy!
