Story
HI - I'M GOOSE! I'm a 1-1/2-year-old black lab-flat coat retriever-lab mix in need of a foster or forever home! (Shelter paperwork says I'm 3 but I act like a puppy) I was rescued from a crowded California shelter along with my brother Rooster, a flat-coat retriever, who recently got adopted. I am good with other dogs and a lovebug with people. I'm basically a happy boy who would love my own home where I can be walked, petted, taken on outings or road trips and given the love and attention I so deserve. I weigh about 55 lbs. I'm currently in California, but can be transported to Oregon. Please email for an application.

Story
HI - I'M COFFEE! I'm an 11-month-old male small black retriever mix puppy in need of a foster or forever home! I was rescued from a scary California shelter along with my littermate Cream, who was adopted. I'm a small boy - about 30-40 lbs. I'm a little shy at first but with a few belly rubs and walks I'll warm up quickly. I'm good with other dogs and a lovebug! I'm currently in California, but can be transported to you in Oregon. Please email for an application.

Story
Meet Lewis Lewis is the definition of “play hard, love harder.” This handsome Lab mix has a big personality, a big heart, and a whole lot of enthusiasm for life. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will be your shadow, your cheerleader, and your cuddle buddy, Lewis might just be your guy.Lewis would thrive in a home with a large, securely fenced yard where he can really stretch his legs. He’s strong on leash and gets excited by fast-moving things like cats and cars, so having space to safely run and play is important for him. His absolute favorite pastime? Chasing and pouncing on his beloved Jolly Ball until he’s happily worn out.Lewis has been at the shelter for nearly a year now, and it’s hard to understand why. His distinguished grey muzzle may make him look older, but don’t let that fool you—he’s healthy, energetic, and still full of playful spark. What he really needs is someone willing to look past the grey and see the devoted, joyful companion underneath.Imagine warm afternoons in the yard, Lewis happily tossing his Jolly Ball around, followed by quiet evenings with him curled up beside you, completely content just to be near his person. After so long in the shelter, Lewis deserves a soft place to land and a family to call his own.&#226&#156&#133 Neutered&#226&#156&#133 Vaccinated&#226&#156&#133 Microchipped&#226&#156&#133 Treated for fleas and worms Interested in meeting Lewis? Please email: adoption@columbiahumane.org for an application.Adoption Fee: Sponsored by Mister GooseFor more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgFebruary 12, 2026, 5:50 am

Story
THIS IS A COURTESY POST! PLEASE DO NOT SHOW UP AT THE SHELTER TO MEET HIM. HE IS NOT AT THE SHELTER   MEET Apollo  also responds to Paul. How cuuute.    Apollo is a good young boy.  His only fault is his energy... his family sort of ended up with him. They feel bad. But they have realized he deserves more than they can give. He is destructive in home when not properly excercised, and hes a jumper, they have a kid and hes too much with the kid. They have tried to work with him, but have realized that they are not the right fit. All of this is fixable and trainable with the right person or family. Hes just young and needs consistency and training    Here's what they answered to my questions:    "Apollo nickname Paul (he responds to both)  Kind of Leash Trained (we dont walk him as much as he needs) Crate Trained No allergies that we know of Hes ok in the car, sometimes throws up He is ok alone in a crate if nothing is around him but he did eat the rug/plastic at the bottom of the crate Recall only when said a couple times but not in a open space maybe like a backyard No idea about cats or dogs ( except his sibling dog he is fine with) We got him from one of my husband friends, he is half lab half heeler   And no rehoming fee we just want him to go to a really good home."    He is 1.5 yrs old. Black Lab/ Heeler. Neutered. And UTD on shots.   November 1, 2025, 1:27 pm
