Story
Video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/0Kjbh-iwpJk Jill is a 4 month old super sweet baby girl who found herself on the chopping block along with her sister due to space limitations at the shelter at a very small rural shelter in Oklahoma. Our rescue pulled them both at the last minute and organized a 3 hour transport to us just to save them along with one other lucky pup. She is great with other dogs of all sizes, loves everyone she meets, loves to play, loves water and is also great with cats. She will make a great family dog and/or companion for an individual or couple. There's nothing bad to say about her. She is currently still in Oklahoma but can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. We have frequent transports to the locations below. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of the locations. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take her in or she will go back to Oklahoma on the next transport until a new home is found. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue/reviews Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Seattle/Tacoma) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Illinois (Vandalia) - Indiana (Spiceland) - Ohio (Columbus) - Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) Vetting: spayed, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 2, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed, on monthly heartworm prevention, on monthly flea and tick prevention. Adoption fee: $500 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma) Adoption application: https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95

Story
Bettie is a dream! She is potty trained, crate trained, smart, mature, great with other dogs and great with kids and adults. You can check out her video to see her full personality and how innocent she is with people. She rolls on her back for belly rubs and seems very respectful around kids. She lives in a foster home with a lot of activity going on with kids coming in and out and a lot of other dogs. She does really well and she’s a pleasure to have around. She is like a big baby, loves to give kisses and show affection. She walks around greeting people with her tail wagging. Bettie knows how to sit on command and is working on “lay”. She loads up in the car and loves to go for rides. She is about 77 lbs and approx 2 years old. We cannot be sure of her age or breed since she is a rescue. She does like stuffie toys. She is a joyful girl all the time. She has an easy going personality, she’s easy on leash, and she doesn’t try to run away at her foster home. She plays with a lot of large dogs at the foster home and has no issues. She has a loving personality, loves to be pet and snuggle up next to you. She stays in a crate quietly overnight and goes out to potty in the morning. She is very well behaved at the vet too, she is trusting of people. We love her sweet, trusting personality. She is not defensive with people or other dogs. She loads up in the car on her own, walks next to you on leash, and makes it easy to have her around especially with her large size. She’s been amazing with the kids at the foster home! She loves everyone. During her cat test she did not display a desire to attack but did act interested so we think she may chase a cat. Her play style with other dogs is bouncy and she acts like the play group queen. You can see videos of it in her adoption movie. She chases and romps in the yard, she’s easy to get along with. You can see her play style and her full personality in her adoption video! Available for adoption to anywhere in the US. We transport near or into NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van or bus transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. We can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $825 and includes all vetting per our veterinarian: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery, flea prevention, we inject or give 2-6 months of heartworm preventative, heartworm testing and heartworm treatment if applicable, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 25% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $62 surcharge for transport. Story
If easy going and fun loving is what you are looking for then this is your guy. Titus is about 3 years old, he gets along with other dogs as long as they are respectful of him and respect his boundaries. He loves to play a mean game of fetch. He is pretty alert when he looks at the kitties so we are suggesting a home without cats. He has a pretty good foundation of obedience. Titus would be up for the occasional adventure, or just hanging around on the couch watching TV. He needs to have a pretty quiet neighbourhood as he can be kind of sensitive to some sounds.  If you are interested in meeting Titus we ask that you please email adoption@columbiahumane.org in order to obtain an application. His adoption fee is $250.00 that includes him being current on his vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgApril 26, 2024, 8:34 am
