Meet Zoey! Zoey is a happy, energetic girl who lives life at full speed and isn’t shy about sharing her excitement. She greets everyone with bouncy enthusiasm, especially if you have tennis balls!! She’s social and loves being part of the action, always ready to run up and say hello before bouncing off to the next fun thing. Zoey has that playful, outgoing personality that makes her such a fun dog to be around. She’s the kind of dog who keeps you smiling without even trying. Zoey has had successful dog meets, but she is strong and reactive at times, so she’ll do best with a home that has experience and is ready to continue working with her on structure, consistency, and leash skills. Zoey is a joyful, goofy girl who needs an active, hands on home where she can run, play, and keep learning while still being her fun loving self every day. Zoey's adoption fee is a donation of your choice which includes each animal fixed, up to date on core vaccines, microchipped, kept on monthly preventions, and dewormed. Story
Socialization: Webb is cautious and respectful when meeting new people, however he quickly opens up and enjoys cuddles/pets; he is very much a Velcro dog and wants to be by your side. Webb prefers slow and respectful introductions with dogs, but is generally very friendly once he is used to them. He is very playful with dogs, and would love another young dog to play with and learn confidence from. He has met children and was respectful of them as well. Webb has been working hard on staying calm around our cat/the neighborhood cats but is easily over-stimulated around small animals/prey; due to this, we feel his ideal home would be cat-free, or one with a large, dog-saavy cat. Webb is a joy to have and would love to continue to blossom with another medium to large dog in the home. Training: Webb is very smart and has learned sit, down, stay, and kennel. He enjoys learning and training and would excel in a sport such as rally or obedience. Webb walks calmly on a leash with a no-pull harness, and has been taught to sit whenever his human stops. He is also working on impulse control with the command "break", and other games. Webb will need ongoing training, and specifically training to support his enrichment needs and provide a mental and physical job, he is not a dog who will be happy staying at home 24/7. Crate trained: Webby is crate trained, and will go to his kennel on command using the cue, "kennel". However, Webby struggles with separation anxiety and will vocalize in his kennel if left alone for any period of time; he can also be destructive, with a tendency to swallow items. Webb would love a person who can be home a lot, and/or take him with them when traveling. Alternatively, another dog companion who can stay home with him. Webb does well when my personal dog stays home, and will sleep in his kennel as long as he has buddy. He does not like to be the only one left alone. His humans should use caution when leaving him alone/out without more training or removing items that may be tempting to destroy and eat. Leash trained: Webby does great on a no-pull, front clip harness. He has learned to sit/lie down when cued on walks, and will automatically sit when his human stops while walking, or at intersections. Webb responds excellent to positive reinforcement and is highly food motivated. Webb will react to cats and squirrels on walks, and sometimes other reactive dogs, but can be redirected using treats. While this has improved, he still experiences nervousness to loud noises outside of the home. Webb requires an active person to accompany him on walks and would do best with someone who can handle his strength and excitement. Activity level/requirements: Webb is a high-energy breed and will need active daily enrichment in order for him to stay well regulated. Without proper mental and physical stimulation, he can become reactive/vocal and restless. After proper enrichment, Webb will match your energy levels and loves to nap on the couch. His ideal home is someone dedicated to his ongoing training and who can balance his activity needs. Fence requirements: While he has never tried to jump our fence, he could easily clear a fence less than 6ft. As a result, a home with tall fencing is ideal as he currently does not have strong recall or any training off-leash. Personality: Webby is extremely lovable, sweet, and playful. He is a true velcro dog, and does not want to leave his person's side. He can by shy or aloof at first, but once he learns to trust you, he will open up and show his playful/goofy personality! Webb has some reservations out in public, and will need someone dedicated to continue building his confidence. Health history: UTD on vaccinations, is spayed/neutered, microchipped, & on monthly heartworm preventative. Webb has completed Heartworm treatment and will need to be retested in 6 months. He also experienced a multi-fracture in his left front leg, and while he has no current limitations, arthritis may surface in the future. Foster comments: Webb's dream home would include an active and patient family who are dedicated to his ongoing training and anxiety needs. He would thrive in a home with another playful dog, and would love the chance to be with a family who he can go majority of places with. Webb is truly so special and we have adored having him, he will be a wonderful addition to the right home. Foster Location: Houston, TX Volunteer transport can be arranged in the Continental US within a 1,000-mile distance between adopters & foster home. If interstate transport is provided for your adopted dog, there will be an additional charge of $75.00 for the required Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI).  Typically, we are able to transport your adopted dog to within 2 hours of your home. *Dogs can be adopted outside the 1000-mile transport distance; however, adopters must be willing to either fly their adopted dog, drive to a location within the 1000-mile transport range, or make independent transport arrangements for their adopted dog. Transports to far Western states, from Eastern states, may have additional restrictions. ##2623079##

Story
Sweet and shy Kira was surrendered from a commerical breeder. She is a 1 year old, ~40lb golden doodle. Kira means sunshine. Unfortunately, her previous life does not appear to have include any sunshine. It is said some dogs need so much extra love to forget about their past life. She definitely falls in that category. Now in foster she is very slowly starting to shine. She is excellent in the car, learns a routine quickly, and does not have accidents in the house. She could be your one and only for you to give all your attention or could share with a calm fur sibling. Her favorite toy is a tennis ball. She throws it and catches it by herself. Kira requires a fully fenced yard, as she is still very scared of most everything. She needs a super patient person to continue breaking down the wall she has built around herself - we promise she will be worth the wait. We are expecting that Kira will specifically need more adjustment time than some others - she does well with consistency and having routine throughout her day. In her current foster home she has made much progress - initially needing to be carried outdoors. Now Kira will walk on a leash and is known to play with her tennis ball and explore the yard, or will hang out with her foster mom and relax. She is not fond of the male in the foster home, so an all female home would be best for her. Kira came to us extremely matted, and went through a beautiful transformation with her first real haircut. She will need routine grooming to keep her looking her best! She is microchipped, and has been on flea/tick/heartworm prevention since coming into the rescue and current on vaccines and has been spayed. Story
Meet Alabama! Alabama is a 4-year-old Mini Goldendoodle with a gentle, quiet nature and an adventurous spirit. She walks beautifully on a leash and enjoys exploring the world around her. Because she loves adventure, she would do best in a securely fenced yard where she can safely satisfy her curiosity. Alabama is a very quiet girl who has only barked a handful of times since coming into our care. She gets along well with other dogs she's met - she could be okay with another dog in her forever home or as an only dog. She would be best suited for a home with older children who can respect her gentle and somewhat timid personality. Alabama is an opportunist and wouldn't hesitate to run out an open door, her forever family will need to be prepared to gate doors especially in the adjustment period. Alabama is still learning that the world is a safe place and can be quite fearful at times. She will need a patient family willing to give her the time, understanding, and encouragement she needs to continue building confidence. She is making progress with house training and does go outside regularly to potty, but she is not yet fully housebroken. Alabama does not enjoy being crated and would do best with a family that can work with her using positive reinforcement and consistency. With patience, love, and a predictable routine, Alabama has the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion for the right family. She is spayed, UTD on core vaccines, and on heartworm/flea and tick prevention. Zoe's House Rescue Kennel License 9117 Reading PA 19608
