Story
Meet Angel Angel is a very sweet girl who lives up to her name. She has a gentle, loving personality and is happiest when she’s spending time with her people. Angel has lived with cats before and done well, making her a great fit for a home that may already have feline friends. She already knows commands like sit and come, and she enjoys the simple things in life—going for walks, riding along on car trips, and curling up in bed with you at the end of the day. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will happily join you on adventures and then snuggle up for a cozy night’s sleep, Angel could be the perfect addition to your family.                                                                              KENNEL ID #18804 Meet Pistol, a Golden Retriever and German Shorthair Pointer mix. He will turn 4 years old on April 9th. Pistol is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. He weighs about 80 pounds and believes he’s a lap dog!  Pistol is housebroken and crate-trained. He gets along well with cats and most other dogs, making him a great companion. As a vigilant watchdog, he has lots of energy and loves to play and run around. His favorite toy is a squeaky chicken, and he enjoys playing fetch. When he’s not active, he loves to relax and receive belly rubs. Although Pistol was raised around children, he has recently become uncomfortable in their presence, and his warning growls can be intimidating for kids. Therefore, his owners are looking for a home without children. Story
Gem is a four-year-old German Shorthair Pointer (GSP) with a zest for life and a loving nature. Like most GSPs, she’s full of energy and thrives in a home that can keep up with her active lifestyle. Whether it’s hiking, running, or exploring the great outdoors, Gem is ready to be your adventure buddy. After a day of activity, she loves nothing more than to settle down for some quality snuggle time with her favorite people. Her favorite thing, beyond anything else, is to be right by her person's side. Gem is well-mannered and has a solid foundation of basic training. She’s potty trained, walks well on a leash, and has reliable recall skills, making her a joy to take on outings. However, her hunting breed instincts are strong, and she has a high prey drive, so she requires a secure, tall, physically fenced yard (no electric fences or tie outs) to safely burn off her energy. Gem’s ideal home is a single-family home with plenty of space and a secure yard, as she needs room to run and play. She is not a good fit for renters or homes with restrictions on outdoor space. Due to her desire to chase, Gem is also not suitable for a home with cats or small animals. She lives in a foster home with six other dogs and gets along well with them, so she would love another canine companion, but would also do well as an only dog! While Gem is friendly and affectionate, she can get nervous in certain situations. For this reason, she would do best in a home with children aged 15 or older who can understand and respect her boundaries. She’s crate-trained and is most comfortable and will need to be crated when her family isn’t home, which helps her feel safe and secure. Gem is spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated, so she’s ready to transition smoothly into her new home. Her ideal family will not only appreciate her energetic and playful nature but also provide the structure and understanding she needs. If you’re looking for a loyal, active companion and are willing to travel to Reading, PA, to meet her, Gem could be the perfect fit!

Story
Meet Lacey! Lacey is a gentle, 6‑year‑old, 50‑pound Goldendoodle with a soft, sensitive heart and a sweet spirit. She’s looking for a calm, loving forever home where she can continue to build confidence and feel safe. Lacey thrives with a fenced‑in yard to explore and would love a friendly resident dog to help guide her. She’s also great with cats and does well with older children who can respect her gentle nature. Because she feels most at ease when someone is around, a family where people are home often would be a perfect fit. She is still working on potty training, but with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, she’ll keep making steady progress. She does well walking on a leash and goes willing on car rides. Lacey has a lot of love to give and just needs the right family who understands her calm, tender personality. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion who will blossom with patience and kindness, Lacey might be your perfect match. 🐾 She is spayed, microchipped and up to date with all vaccines. She is a poodle-mix and will require regular grooming to maintain her curly coat. All adopters must be willing to travel to Strasburg for a meet and greet along with their dog(s). If Lacey sounds like the perfect addition to your family, please fill out an application today! Zoe’s House Rescue. Sinking Spring Pa 19608 Kennel license #9117

Story
Meet Flyer, a three-year-old female Mini Goldendoodle. I’m searching for a loving home where I can move at my own pace and build a special bond. My foster dad works from home and spends a lot of time with me, helping me understand that people can be kind. I’m gradually coming out of my shell, but I’m still a bit scared of a lot of things. I’ve never been part of a family before coming to my foster home. I may be a bit shy around new people and take my time to trust, but once I do, I’ll be your little best friend. I love to chew on toys! I’m learning to share with my foster sisters because I want to play with all of them! When I arrived at my foster home, I needed a lot of grooming. My groomer doesn’t think I was ever groomed before I came to Zoe’s House Rescue. I’m heartworm negative, microchipped, and take monthly preventatives. I’m also crate-trained. I go potty every time I’m taken outside. I love being outside and need a fenced-in yard. Even though I’m a shy girl, I’m hopeful that someone will give me a chance to show what a wonderful companion I can be! It will take patience and time, but I have a lot of love to give. Flyer is a scared dog who needs a home that can help her build confidence and become her best self. She would benefit from training classes to boost her confidence. She’s a very sweet dog who might back herself in a corner when someone new tries to touch her. She doesn’t become aggressive, but she’ll try to get away from scary situations. That’s why we’re requiring a securely fenced yard for her. Flyer is currently being fostered in Luzerne County. Interested adopters must visit her foster home twice. The first visit is a meet and greet with all the members of the household, including the existing dogs. If approved the second visit is to take her home. www.zoeshouserescue.com Kennel license: 9117 PO box 2372 Reading, PA 19608
