Story
Meet Lacey! Lacey is a gentle, 6‑year‑old, 50‑pound Goldendoodle with a soft, sensitive heart and a sweet spirit. She’s looking for a calm, loving forever home where she can continue to build confidence and feel safe. Lacey has made so much progress with her foster family & is such a happy girl! Lacey thrives with a fenced‑in yard to run & play and would love a friendly resident dog to help guide her. She’s also great with cats and does well with older children who can respect her gentle nature. Because she feels most at ease when someone is around, a family where people are home often would be a perfect fit, but not required. She has a regular routine & is housebroken, but we always say that regression is common in new situations. She does well walking on a leash and does great when she is in her crate overnights and when her foster mom is at work. Lacey has a lot of love to give and just needs the right family who understands her calm & tender personality. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion who will blossom with patience and kindness, Lacey might be your perfect match. 🐾 She is spayed, microchipped and up to date with all vaccines. She is a poodle-mix and will require regular grooming to maintain her curly coat. All adopters must be willing to travel to Strasburg for a meet and greet along with their dog(s). If Lacey sounds like the perfect addition to your family, please fill out an application today! Zoe’s House Rescue. Sinking Spring Pa 19608 Kennel license #9117

Story
Update: We thought we had found the perfect home for Campbell, but it wasn't meant to be. Cammie is back with us through no fault of her own... Zoe's House is looking for a very special adopter for a sweet girl who just can't catch a break. Please read the description carefully before applying! Campbell is a one year old female Golden Retriever who came into rescue as a 12 week old puppy who was leaking urine. Fast forward through six rounds of antibiotics for a persistent UTI. Appointments with five different specialty vets. Two ultrasounds and a complicated surgery for ectopic ureters. A cardio consult that diagnosed mitral valve dysplasia and moderate subaortic stenosis (treated through a daily medication). A total of 8 separate blood tests and 14 urinalyses across almost 9 months. Whatever she needed, Zoe's House did. Her medical reports and test results fill a three ring binder. We've tried to identify and fix as many as we can... Except the most difficult diagnosis - chronic kidney disease. This is hereditary and there is no cure, but there are established treatments that include prescription food and medications that can manage her symptoms. While this disease will probably shorten her life span, the treatments available can give her a very good quality of life. And Campbell so deserves that. Throughout everything, Campbell has remained her happy, bouncy, cheerful self. Throw her a ball and she'd bring it back. Throw it again, and off she'll go. Tireless. Excited. Happy. Each throw is a new chase. Guaranteed to keep going long after your arm has given out. We are looking for a special adopter for Campbell who isn't daunted by her diagnosis and who is ready to give her the best possible life for as long as possible. While financial resources are a piece of that, the equally important need is for someone who can give her an active lifestyle (a fenced yard and lots of balls are a must!) and the joys of being part of a household. Campbell is currently living with other dogs of all ages and sizes as well as cats. She loves food, running, spending time outside, chasing balls, car rides, snuggles, and hanging with her friends (both two-footed and four-footed). She doesn't like too much crate time and hates not getting enough exercise. She is fully vetted and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. She sleeps in her crate at night. GIven her energy level, kids over 7 years old are recommended. Someone home alot to give her frequent potty breaks and exercise time would be ideal. Application available at www.zoeshouserescue.com Kennel license 9117 Reading PA 19608

Story
Meet McCoy – the sweetest little sidekick you didn’t know you were missing. At just 4.5 months old and 24 pounds, McCoy is a delightful mix of silly, snuggly, and smart. He may be a tiny bit shy at first, but give him a little patience and you’ll quickly discover his playful personality and affectionate heart. McCoy comes from a pretty interesting family tree! His mom is a Heeler/Beagle mix and his dad is a cream-colored Goldendoodle, which resulted in one very unique and adorable pup. He has the coloring of his siblings but favors his Beagle-mix mama in looks — with short little legs, a loooong Basset-style body, and a thick, medium-length coat that’s perfect for cuddling. Though he was born outside and spent his early weeks living outdoors with his parents and littermates, McCoy is now thriving inside a loving foster home. He’s learning all about family life — from the excitement of greeting you at the door (he gives the best welcome-home kisses!) to living with young boys ages 6 and 10. Every day he grows braver and more confident. At first, the big dogs in his foster home made him a little nervous — but now? He’s happily part of the crew. He absolutely loves to run and play outside, and fetch with tennis balls is quickly becoming one of his favorite games. And yes… he is SMART. You can just see those wheels turning. One of the most special things about McCoy is how deeply he bonds with his people. When his foster mom recently had a terrible migraine, McCoy instinctively curled up beside her and stayed close, offering quiet comfort. He’s not just cute — he truly cares. His activity level is beautifully balanced. He enjoys playtime and adventures, but he’s just as happy snuggled up right next to you. With a loving, supportive family, McCoy is going to absolutely bloom into the best kind of companion — loyal, joyful, and full of heart. He is expected to grow to around 45–50 pounds when fully grown. If you’re looking for a special boy who is adorable inside and out, McCoy may be your perfect match. To learn more about McCoy, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. We transport from our rescue base in Nashville up the northeastern corridor of states to approved adopters. McCoy is ready to find his forever family — maybe it’s you. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.March 7, 2026, 12:24 pm
