Story
Shadow was a stray and is the sweetest dog whom I rescued from the shelter because he was at risk. He is well behaved and doesn’t bark unless a stranger enters my home. He plays well with other dogs and walks calmly on the leash. He is around 2 yrs old so is still a bit of a puppy. He looks and behaves exactly like my former flat coated, which is wonderful, except he is only 31 lbs, so he’s about half the size. I have no idea what he’s mixed with, but I regard him as a smaller version of a flat coated retriever. All potential adopters must have a vet reference, initial meet and greet (at least) and experience with raising dogs. It is a major responsibility and Shadow deserves a loving and stable home.

We are currently taking care of the infection and getting her itchiness under control so whomever adopts her will need to keep up with her skin care routine. Should be easily managed once we have the routine down. She is heartworm positive, is currently on ProHeart12 and on slow kill treatment doing wonderfully and is not symptomatic NOTES: Hildy is a total lovebug! She loves other dogs and truly wants to just be near her humans! Not only is she affectionate, she is obedient, playful and wants to learn anything you will teach her. She is house trained, does great inside, does not tear anything up. Hildy needs a safe, loving spot to land for the rest of her life where she will never have to worry again! ------------------------------------------------ Ground transport assistance may be available within 1K miles depending on where you live and the availability of volunteer drivers along the route.
