Story
Beautiful Ember is a very affectionate, quirky girl who adores belly rubs. Ember does the most silly thing of running in between your legs demanding butt scratches. She is the perfect mix between a firecrackers one second and a couch potato the next! She will be happy sleeping on a couch or curling into bed with you. She's not a fan of the crate, but she will do well being left out with her toys. Ember is potty trained and will sometimes whimper to go outside so you know what she needs. She is very food motivated and has room to grow with any training techniques. Ember would be the perfect dog for a active family lifestyle who takes break watching movies on the couch where she can scooch in and get a head scratch. Ember would need to be introduced slowly with big dogs as she can be nervous at first, but if the vibe is good they will become the best of friends. She does request to fed separately always (including treats), so that there's no confusion as to what's hers. With smaller dogs she favors the ones who are less active and older best. She is not a fan of the little hyper ones. Start the conversation by applying to adopt Ember here: https://forgottencoastanimalrescue.org/adoption-app

Story
Black Jack is the sweetest boy! He’s very friendly and loves attention…especially in the form of belly rubs. He’ll happily lay all day if you’re rubbing his belly, but he typically has an average energy level. He’s very easy to handle and walks well on a leash without pulling. He already knows how to sit on command and will happily do so and smile while he waits for a treat. He’s very photogenic! He loves being around people and will sometimes jump up to give you a hug if he feels like he hasn’t been cuddled enough.

These pups are in Humble, Texas too!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. My foster mom fell in love with my gorgeous hazel eyes, my sweet personality and soft tan and white coat.   She loves that I love to be held so she can stare into my eyes.  My Foster mom spoils me rotten, but I deserve it.  I love being here with all my foster siblings but mom thinks I deserve a home that will love me unconditionally and keep me forever.    Crate trained, 90% potty trained.   Working on leash work Can you help a guy out? =============== Please contact  app@aarfhouston.org for more information about this dog. You can apply online by clicking on Application . ADOPTION FEE:  The adoption fee includes vaccinations, bordetella, deworming, rabies, Microchip including a lifetime registration and spay/neuter.   PUPPIES   Texas State law requires that we sterilize any animal adopted through this agency.     This will normally occur between 5 and 6 months at one of our approved veterinarians at the expense of the rescue. Children under 8 years old  often are not a good match for our puppies and dogs.   In order to protect both, your child and our rescued dogs/puppies from harm, we seldom if ever adopt to families with young children. Approval:  You will be notified via email once your application is approved.  Once notified, we will schedule a meet and greet at one of our approved locations.   Thank you for considering a rescue! The adoption fee includes vaccinations, Bordetella, de-worming, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip. There is a an additional $12.99 fee for Home Again for a lifetime registration of the microchip. Puppies cannot be adopted outside of the Houston area until they are spay/neutered after they are 4 months old. It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it. NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others. AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation , no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you.
