Story
Hi, I'm Black Jack! I'm a happy, playful, and loving dog who enjoys spending time with my humans and dog friends. I love to play, go for walks, and explore new places. Whether I'm running off-leash or walking calmly on a leash, I'm just happy to be with you.I was found alone on the boardwalk, covered in bite wounds, including a large one on my leg. I also had ehrlichia and anemia, but I've recovered well thanks to care and love. I'm very gentle and friendly with everyone. I'm not a guard dog -- I'll happily greet anyone who comes my way. I get along great with other dogs and I'm eager to learn new tricks if you give me the time to train.I would do best with an active young person, a couple, or a family with older kids who want a loyal and playful companion. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.

Story
Hi, I'm Tres! I'm a playful, happy, and energetic girl who loves to stay busy and connected. I enjoy playing with my sisters, meeting new people, and exploring everything around me. I was rescued from the street with my mom and five siblings when we were about six weeks old, and I've been growing braver and stronger every day.I know how to sit and come when called, and I'm excited to keep learning. My ideal home is an active one with people who enjoy exercise, love cuddling, and have kids to share the fun. I wouldn't be happy in an inactive home, and I haven't lived with cats yet, so that's unknown. I'm affectionate and full of life--sometimes I wrestle with my sisters, but it's all part of my big personality. If you want an energetic cuddle buddy, I'm your girl! This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.

Story
We really have no clue on her breeds, but she does look kind of like a smallish lab?. In foster near Tumwater, WA. here is another You Tube video of sweet Esme. https://youtube.com/shorts/wytgVgwpHqc?feature=share Esme is a sweet wonderful super great tipod (we paid to have her leg amputated as she was hit by a vehicle in Texas and it was too badly injured to save her leg. 44 pounds of sweetness, likely a smallish lab type mix? Approximately one year of age. She even heels great on a leash!!! Stray, as so many great dogs are in TX :( . The last photo is her back leg not that long after amputation when she was still at the shelter in Texas. Cat and dog tested and did great. She loves everyone. If you’re looking for a soft-hearted, soulful dog who can walk but likely not great fit for major hiking as she now has only one back leg. This is the link to apply to adopt. https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application/ Currently ALL dogs we have posted from Lufkin-Kurth Texas are not only human and dog friendly but cat friendly too! Many dogs are impossible to say the breeds but it is anyone's guess. As we know, mutts statistically speaking will live longer and have less vet bills!. All of our Lufkin Kurth Texas dogs were hand selected and are literally their favorites. Everyone who has adopted adores their dogs. She will totally win you over. , Please do apply!!! All our dogs are spay/neutered, current on DHPP and rabies shots, microchipped, tested hw negative, so all of that is done. Our adoptions include professional dog rescue transport to WA and health certificates (vet visit just prior to coming to WA). Any questions, please email us at shaynesrescue@gmail.com Best to include your phone number and good times to call too! Three great short videos of sweet tripod Esme. Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. FOREST is a very sweet male Golden Retriever mix we believe. DOB 10./15/2025…currently 26#s. He and his sister came into rescue from a family with “too many dogs”… not necessarily a hoarder but did not spay and neuter their adults. We have since been working with them to accomplish this. FOREST is going to be about 45-50#s when grown. He is sweet and easy going. He loves the other dogs, big and small, and left my cats alone except for trying to play with them occasionally. He also had the opportunity to be in our house with the other dogs…and even went outside multiple times a day for their potty run. He is not yet house broken but he’s getting there. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period." If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/ This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. ZIGGY is adorable…a real BIG TEDDY BEAR Lover. He is probably a Lab/Boxer mix. DOB 7/2/21 (4 yrs old). He weighs 78#...and is definitely 10-15# overweight. He needs less food and more exercise. Ziggy is a big boy but very affectionate. He is crate trained and house trained. He does well on the leash…but occasionally will pull when he’s interested in things. He loves being with other dogs…very playful. He ignores the cat. He loves all people that come up to him. He needs an active family and older children… 10+ ...to throw the ball and give him exercise. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention.
