Story
Meet April! When it comes this April, the term “April Showers” means something a little different. Instead of rain, you’ll be showered with love, snuggles, and maybe just a tiny bit of slobber. April is a playful and affectionate girl who is eager to bond with her person! She thrives on routine, and loves spending her days going on walks, zooming around the yard, or playing with her toys. After a day of adventuring, April’s favorite way to end the day is by taking a nice, long nap on the couch, cuddled up next to her bestie. BONUS: While she is still working on being potty trained and sleeping through the night, April is fully crate trained! Great With: Other dogs, dog-savvy cats, and older kids!Ideal Home: A loving family or individual ready to provide structure, training, enrichment, and lots of belly rubs to help her continue blossoming into her best self! If you’re looking for a curious, playful, and loyal companion, April is your girl!   What is Path of Hope Rescue’s Adoption Process? Our adoption process takes on average 7-10 days. Begin by completing the online application. EVERY application receives an email response from us (check your spam folder!). Your personal Matchmaker will contact you, help you find your perfect pup match, and guide you through the process. Meet your potential pup at the home of the foster family (the process may differ slightly for long distance adopters). Bring your potential pup home for a no commitment In Home Trial. In Home Trials are a minimum of (2) nights for a puppy and one week for an adult. Your Matchmaker will check in with you during this time. Sign the adoption paperwork and adopt your new family member! Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue Our adoption process sets us apart. We specialize in learning about you and your family to find just the right fit for you. Our Matchmakers are not only good at what they do; they will also guide you through the entire process.  Our Minimum Adoption Donation is $550 for puppies under a year and $450 for dogs a year and older. We are a WA state registered non-profit and rely heavily on adoption donations to cover the expenses associated with saving lives. Our dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption; microchipped with free lifetime registration; and up to date on DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccinations (when age appropriate) and deworming and heartworm treatment/prevention. Adopters can also earn a $100 training refund if they attend (6) hours of any in person training course.  Long Distance adopters (one hour or more from Spokane) may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option, Puppy Delivery Express, for an additional delivery donation of $250. Puppy Delivery Express currently delivers dogs throughout Washington and to parts of Montana, Idaho, and Oregon. About Path of Hope Rescue At Path of Hope Rescue, our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. Our two employees and army of volunteers focus on transporting pregnant dogs and puppies from Texas, the number one kill state in America. The dogs we rescue are in poor living conditions and on euthanasia lists in shelters that are inundated with unwanted animals. We want to give these dogs a chance and bring them to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive, loving homes. We are 100% foster based; our dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are house and crate trained and learn basic obedience and leash skills. Dogs experience socialization opportunities with people, places, and other animals, and they receive the attention required to become well-rounded, healthy, and affectionate dogs that they would not otherwise receive in a shelter environment. Our commitment does not end when the dog is adopted. Path of Hope offers post adoption owner support including information on making the dog’s transition to your home a smooth one; recommendations for Preferred Trainers; advice on pet behavior and wellness topics; Facebook litter groups to keep in touch with fellow adopters; and invitations to local rescue hosted events.  Please visit https://www.pathofhoperescue.com/ for more information about our organization and the adoption process. ##2470107##
