Story
Hi there, my name is Oakley! Now, you may notice my smolder, muscles, and soft, sleek fur... but I'm not just a handsome stud like my profile pic makes me out to be. I've got a great personality, too! I am hoping I can be the apple of your eye and your loyal companion, for forever. I love all things active and fun! What can I say, I'm just a fun guy (fungi?). And will put a smile on your face with my goofy and adorable personality! I enjoy playing fetch, running, tug-of-war, toys & playing in the water! Ropes and ball toys are my favorites. I know to sit, lay down, come, shake & guess what else?... I am living in a foster home with a volunteer Certified Dog Trainer who is working to help me be the bestest mannered boy I can be. Now, I am receiving training and learning signals and cues that will help me live life to the fullest. I am very much enjoying pleasing my friends here at the shelter with how intelligent I am and how quick I am picking things up! After just a few weeks, I've been doing great learning "Off Leash Obedience Training." With this training, I have been learning "off leash heel with a change in pace" and am mastering the "auto sit while stopping" technique. My foster momma and I are very in sync when walking around now! Plus, the "down stay" where I pick up on a cue given and will lay down and stay (even if you are walking away) until it's time for "out of site recall" where once you're out of site, I will make sure to follow! I have learned "place," too! As a young doggo, I have spent most of my life in the shelter. If you adopt, please commit forever to me. If you think you can give me the love, care and companionship I dream of, set up a time to meet me! A note from my foster momma, Alyse Honnald: "Oakley needs a home with a strong pack leader & someone that will utilize a kennel when they aren't home. Oakley thrives when he understands exactly what is expected of him. When he first arrived at Purely Balanced K9 Training, he had severe separation anxiety & was medicated for it. Oakley is no longer on medication & now calmly sleeps in his crate. He also has a solid place command, which is super useful for when guests come over or if you need to get something done & not worry about him getting into stuff. Oakley is dog friendly & loves to play, but a meet & greet is required if you have any furry friends. *Adult Only Home Preferred, No Cats, Kids or Small Doggos + Manager Approval for this big boy!

Story
Drako is a happy go lucky 1 year old. He loves to play outside and is an amazing self-entertainer. He loves all people and loves his butt scratches. He knows how to sit, down, stay (for past 1 minute!) and shake on both paws. He is learning to be a good walker and is a wonderful running partner, amiss a few squirrels. He does not get into things that are not his around the house and is trusted home-alone outside of the kennel. Big fan of bones and digging in the yard and loves to cuddle in the evenings, finding comfy spots throughout the house. He loves loves the outdoors and is very content to bird watch. He barks only occasionally and does not bark back at other dogs on walks or in other situations. He is learning how to be in public spaces (like breweries) and we are working on not jumping as a greeting, once he knows you you become less exciting to jump on. He aims to please and will correct his behavior once he is called out for it. He is such a sweetheart, full of joy and love.

Story
Howdy, you can call me Waylon or Axel. Whichever you prefer! I am a big boy, a Lab & Great Dane mix to be exact, and weigh in at about 55 lb. I am very intelligent and love all things agility. I also enjoy car rides, walkies & playing with my toys. I am a big puppy at heart but do know commands like sit, come, down and "off" as in off the furniture. I would do well with training, structure and a daily routine. My previous owner says I do not like being home alone, so will need someone who is patient and will take the steps necessary to help me stay calm when I find myself alone in the home. There are ways to help me feel better about being alone, like a daily routine and doing particular things (set up a special space for me where I can go lay, activities to distract, etc.) each time right before you leave. This will cue me in that I am about to be alone. It's good to have some notice on these things! Our adoption counselors can tell you more ways to help assist. I also should be in an adult only home and will need a meet and greet with any potential fur friends. I have lived with one cat previously and my previous owner says I was easygoing, friendly and playful with them. Just not when are around my food! So that will need to be kept away from any kitties or other fur friends. I am a handsome, loving boy who will create a strong bond with you. So once you're my human I will be loyal and love you forever. I hope you will feel the same way about me, too. Ask an adoption counselor to meet me today!

Story
My name fits my RUFF AND ROWDY playstyle! I'm Raphtalia and I'm hoping to find a home that may have had a dog before or understand boundaries and work on them with me. I was brought to the shelter as my pervious owners no longer had time to properly care for me or handle my energy. I LOVE to play fetch and I would benefit from training as I'm known to not have that great of manners.. I like to jump up on counters, what can I say! I'm not used to walking on a leash and fast movements scare me, I'm hoping to find someone that will help me learn to trust you and know that you nor a leash is going to hurt me. If you think I may be the one for you, please come in and chat with the wonderful adoption staff!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
The National Parks litter came to Murci's Mission from a family overrun with unaltered animals and going through the process of getting everyone spayed and neutered. They were born on 03/22/2023 and have been DNA tested through Embark which showed us they are a mix of Labrador Retriever, American Pit Bull Terrier, Boston Terrier and more. See profile link for full details. The test also showed no testable genetic health concerns for the puppy swabbed, so it's highly unlikely that anyone else in the litter would have much variance in breed or health.  Mama is roughly 30lbs and dad is unknown, and with the Embark estimated adult weight of 24lbs, we anticipate these will be smallish pups!  https://my.embarkvet.com/dog/teton26?utm_campaign=cns_ref_dog_pub_profile&utm_medium=other&utm_source=embark The National Parks are mild mannered and making good progress on potty training and crate training. They will make great additions to any family that can commit to continuing to train and socialize them. They are currently accustomed to dogs, cats and kids.  Each of the National Parks comes spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed. Their adoption fee is $300 and includes medical records, a food sample, a leash, collar and ID tag.  The puppies will be ready to go home on or after June 21st when they are scheduled for spay neuter, and we do require all of our dogs attend some sort of training course whether in person, private or group class, or online. If you can wait until mid June to bring your pup home, and are willing to take your new baby pup to a training course, please begin the process by sending in an application at www.murcismission.org.  Thank you for checking out the National Parks!  ##1715030##
