His Wisdom Panel DNA results reveal a rich hound heritage—53% American Foxhound, 26% Plott Hound, 19% Treeing Walker Coonhound, and a touch of Bluetick Coonhound—so it’s no surprise that he has a strong prey drive and a passion for following scents wherever they lead. Originally rescued after being abandoned on the side of the road, Harlan has blossomed into a loving, energetic companion. He adores being outdoors and lives for long walks, sniffing adventures, and any opportunity to use his hound instincts. He’s happiest when he has a job to do or space to roam, making him a great fit for an active household with land, a secure yard, or even a family who enjoys hunting or has experience with working breeds. Harlan is: Up to date on all vaccinations Neutered Paperwork in hand House-trained and eager to please Best suited for someone experienced with strong, active dogs While Harlan is deeply affectionate and eager for companionship, he’s not the best fit for homes without secure fencing or those with limited mobility. We love Harlan dearly, but due to serious health challenges in our family and the lack of a secure yard, we know we’re no longer the right home for him.
