Lady is being fostered in TX. HI! I am delighted that you are interested in knowing more about me! I am about 3 months old*. My absolute passions are EAT, MOVE and Cuddle! In fact, among my many super pawers is my super sense of smell, so I became highly excited when smelling delicious foods around me! My foster mamma and I are working hard to learn how to harness this super power! My second super power is my high level of energy and my strong curiosity, I guess that makes three super powers, isn’ it? If you don’t give me a job to do, I will find it on my own! So it is very important for me that you become my guiding light. Yet, I also want you to be soft and cuddle with me in quiet times, since I actively look for bonding, reassurance, and safety. I am good with kiddos, but I will prefer kiddos 6+ since I - for now - get excited and might scratch them by accident. Also, I highly benefit from tolerant and playful siblings who can help me balance when the puppyhood zoomies come! Did I tell you that I am already potty trained? YUP!!! I am proudly potty trained. Regarding my eyes, I have Microphthalmia which “is a congenital condition where one or both eyeballs are abnormally small” on my right eye. My foster momma is seeing a little cloudiness on my left eye*, so I am going to visit an eye specialist in mid August. However, I have not presented any issue navigating the house, jumping the stairs, or avoiding any obstacles in the backyard. I am sure my foster momma will update any relevant info after our appointment. Are you ready to love me? * By the time of this writing on July 2nd. BDRA has voted against the use of eletrical fencing effective immediately.

My foster says Joy is the perfect name for me, I love everyone! I’m the greeter at the door for visitors, holding my head down like a lady to be pet. I love spending time with my people, going outside to play or go for a walk. As soon as I get inside I’m ready for some snuggling and watching tv. I am a good girl- totally housebroken, crate trained ( if you tell me to go in the crate I do on my own ). I walk great on a leash and ride well in the car. She would do best in a home with older children (8+ years) and larger dogs. She is not cat friendly. Birdie is a great dog but isn’t happy with the small children that have joined our home. She is crate trained.
