Story
Meet Bruce, a 2-year-old Foxhound mix who is truly as handsome as he is lovable. He came to us from our friends at Northampton Animal Control with glowing reviews for his charming personality, and he has lived up to every one of them. Bruce greets each day—and every dog and person he meets—with a big, happy tail wag and a bright, joyful spirit. His foster mom says he is a total sweetie who is doing well with her kids, cats, and other dog. She says he's a "great dog! He loves to have soft toys in his mouth and carries them around...he loves to be cuddled on your lap on the couch." Bruce loves to play fetch, enjoys a good snuggle, and has a wonderfully sweet and gentle nature. He’s quiet, smart, and an all-around easy companion who seems to fit in wherever he goes. His affectionate personality and friendly demeanor make him a joy to spend time with. Bruce does have significant skin allergies that will require lifelong treatment and preventative care to keep him comfortable and healthy, so a vet reference is required for his adoption. If you’re ready to provide ongoing medical care and are looking for a loyal, loving best friend, Bruce may be your perfect match. Ready to Adopt? You have two options: #1- VISIT IN PERSON Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You’ll be able to meet available dogs in the shelter. Story
Meet Paco – Your Loyal Shadow and Playful Pup Paco is a handsome brown and white hound mix with a heart as big as his floppy ears. This affectionate boy is thriving in his foster home and is now ready to find a forever family of his very own — ideally one with a fenced yard, a playful dog friend, and humans who will include him in their daily life. He really loves children and will happily play with them for hours. He bonds deeply and loves nothing more than being close to his people. Paco is house-trained, crate trained, great on a leash, and eager to please. He loves to romp and wrestle with other dogs and is surprisingly respectful around chickens — a true southern gentleman. He has been around cats and does well with them. After a fun day, Paco prefers to sleep snuggled up with his foster mom, but he also does great overnight in a crate when needed. Being outdoors is Paco’s happy place. He enjoys exploring, sunbathing, and relaxing in the grass, and he’s a fan of splashing in the water to cool off on warm days. Car rides are becoming more comfortable for him, and with continued positive experiences, he’ll soon be a confident travel buddy. He will need antinausea medication to travel, however. Paco is the perfect match for someone seeking a loyal, cuddly, dog-friendly companion with a sweet spirit and a playful heart. If you’re ready for a devoted shadow who will follow you from the garden to the couch, look no further — Paco is ready to love you for life. Paco is being fostered in a home in Seguin, TX and is not available for transport out of state. To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link.
