Story
AIDEN's owner brought him home as a puppy and kept him on a chain his whole life. We were able to bring him into our group a few months ago. Since then he has blossomed! He cannot believe he can run and play to his heart's content. He was a little afraid of toys at first, but now he LOVES to play fetch. He is kennel trained and is very happy in his big, 54" kennel with his own window to look out of. We are introducing him to other dogs now and he is learning how to play and be a dog. Although Aiden's major breed is a Plott Hound (a large dog), Aiden is 45 pounds and full grown. He has several other hound breeds in him as well. For more information on Aiden, please email can.adoptions@yahoo.com.

Chipper's Story MEET AND GREET APPOINTMENTS SET UP WITH PRE-APPROVED APPLICATION ONLY I🔹Chipper is certainly no bottle baby now! He is READY FOR HIS FOREVER HOME! 🔹 Chipper is about 2.5 months old and he weighs approximately 10 lbs. He is full of personality and he loves other dogs! He is slightly spoiled because when we got him he was all alone and his eyes were still closed. He thinks all the wet food and treats are for him so his foster mom is working with him and using a slow feeder. He sure has grown into a handsome pup with beautiful markings! He loves getting a treat for going out to potty he just hasn’t conquered the whole house training thing but he is getting there… but after all he’s still a young pup so he just needs a little patience! 🐶 Adopters must live in the DFW area 🐶 Adopters must have a fully fenced in yard (no apartment homes), 🐶 Current/ past pets must have/had a good vaccine record, spayed/neutered, and have/had proof of a consistent history of heartworm prevention If you would like to meet Chipper, the first step in the process is to complete an application. Please go to roadtrip4paws.com and click on the Adopt tab to find a link to our online application. We reserve the right to refuse placement of an animal for any reason

Story
Besides Marty having a cute appearance he’s also got an endearing personality. Besides a heart-shaped nose, floppy ears, and a tail that’s in constant wag, Marty has soft brown eyes that will draw you in to him. Marty is an eight month old 40 pound blonde Fox Hound mix that came in to the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 4/10 as a stray. Typical of a hound he explored the yard with his nose. He chased a bird. He frolicked in the yard with his tail spinning like a windmill on a windy day. He sat on command taking a treat gently. He’s sweet, playful, joyful, friendly, outgoing, spirited, and alert. He did his business in the yard. He walks well on a leash. He’s delightful. He would need to go outside to play and burn off his energy in a secured yard, but then would want to come inside for snuggles.
